Statement by Thierry Baudet:

"Congratulations to Geert Wilders on an exceptionally good result! It is very special. Let's hope we manage to form a right-wing government. If we can contribute to this in any way, we will of course be happy to do so.

We at FVD will continue our work in Parliament and beyond. We continue to believe in our mission and in the unique social, metapolitical, cultural and bottom-up approach of our party. We therefore regard this disappointing result as a snapshot which resulted from the battle to become the biggest party, rather than a sign of any loss of confidence among voters in us.

Many thanks to everyone who helped with the campaign – all the volunteers, all the enthusiastic people. It has been an honour and pleasure to travel across the country to meet you in cafés, in halls, on the road, on land, at sea and in the air. We will definitely see each other again soon. And now – let’s get to work!"
