Okay, so.

Take a moment from your day to consider what it is that you actually want to have at the end of all of this madness. Consider your relationship with the information that is available and how that can affect your eventual goals. Just as a thought experiment, imagine that you can do anything you want to do with this world that you find yourself in, but consider that you are not dealing with a blank slate. This world is much more immense than anyone can fully know themselves, and so when you confront it you must account not only for the things that you do know, but also give consideration for everything that you do not yet know. It's not an easy thing to wrap one's head around by any means, as it's not a thing that you can possibly "solve" conclusively. Focus yourselves upon the things that you can do in your immediate periphery and trust that God will work on all of those things which you can not directly impact.

The coming days will present many with greater challenges than anything humanity has faced in a very long time, but we have also been given everything we need to tackle those challenges. If you can stand tall and face forward to meet these challenges together with God, you will be capable of taking your place along side him in the coming world.

>That seems to make the entire old testament a story about a different god

No matter how divinely inspired, humans lack the capacity to fully comprehend or convey the truth of God by virtue of our nature as incomplete beings.
