I use to use a thin strip of beef steak or cheese. Put a squeeze of mustard in the middle and then generously sprinkle the pepper on top of the mustard. Fold it together and down it goes. The mustard keeps the pepper stuck together and you really don't even taste it. May sound like something to gag you but it was quite tasty.
