It actually topped out at M9.94 on GOES 16…I was watching it live after I got an app alert.
Basically an X1. Lately low M flares with CMEs have produced huge aurora down to AZ. This should be good. Looks like a full halo CME is leaving the sun right now. full halo = aimed at us
