Jeffrey McKellop, who is trained in crowd control and worked overseas for much of his career described Jan. 6 as a government operation. Jeffrey told TGP in March, “I know for a fact that there were undercover agents, man. I saw them. I spotted it. And when you find one, then you know what to look for, and then you find them. All undercover agents, they all wear the same thing. They all move the same way. They all get together the same way. Why do I know this? Because I used to do the same thing.”

On Wednesday, Rep. Clay Higgins expanded on his earlier accusations.

OSCE ‘on the brink of abyss’ – Lavrov

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has found itself in the throes of a serious crisis, and its future is unclear, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.

In his address to the OSCE Ministerial Council in Skopje, North Macedonia, the minister lamented that after decades of work, the organization “is now in a deplorable state, and its prospects remain unclear.”

Lavrov noted that after the end of the Cold War, the OSCE was supposed to become an inclusive platform for creating a sustainable security architecture in Europe and promoting international cooperation. “Unfortunately, Western political elites, arrogating to themselves the right to shape the future of mankind, made a short-sighted choice in favor… of NATO,” he said.

The OSCE is essentially being turned into an appendix to NATO and the EU. The organization – let’s face it – is on the brink of the abyss. Here is a simple question: Does it make sense to invest energy in its revival?

In particular, he described a rigorous campaign by Western states to thwart the OSCE’s renaissance by creating parallel institutions that in practice seek to alienate Russia and Belarus, Moscow’s key ally.

Lavrov went on to say that the United States and its European allies have virtually destroyed any chance of broad-based East-West cooperation by imposing unprecedented sanctions on Moscow over the Ukraine conflict.

In this sense, the EU, which supported the restrictions, “continues to dutifully play its unenviable role and bear the brunt of the consequences of America’s Ukraine adventure, while humbly abandoning those forms of economic partnership that have ensured the [bloc’s] prosperity… for many decades”, he added.

Prior to Lavrov’s visit to the OSCE summit – his first since December 2021 – the Russian Foreign Ministry lamented that the forum’s agenda had been “almost completely Ukrainized” since the start of the conflict. Against this backdrop, the foreign ministers of all the three Baltic states, Poland, and Ukraine refused to attend due to Lavrov’s presence. Nevertheless, the top Russian diplomat has already held talks with his Armenian, Hungarian, and Austrian counterparts on the event’s sidelines.

Milei picks ex-JPMorgan trader to dollarize Argentina’s economy

Luis Caputo, known for his Wall Street ties, has been named economy minister

Argentina’s president-elect, Javier Milei, announced on Wednesday that he has chosen former Wall Street stock trader Luis Caputo to be the country’s economy minister.

Milei made the announcement on Radio La Red after a two-day trip to Washington in which he met US Treasury and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials.

Caputo, who worked at JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank, ran Argentina’s Finance Ministry and then briefly its central bank from 2017 to 2018. He is known for his close ties with Wall Street and Buenos Aires banking sectors.

Last week, Caputo, whose appointment is yet to be officially confirmed, met local and international bank officials to lay out Milei’s proposed “shock therapy” for Argentina’s beleaguered economy, which includes ditching the peso for the US dollar, erasing the fiscal deficit, and closing the central bank.

Caputo’s economics consultancy firm Anker Latinoamerica earlier this year released a report saying that dollarizing Argentina would be “difficult,” though “not impossible,” and would require “complex legal and financial architecture.”

Many economists in the country have repeatedly warned that dollarization is risky and that the government should prioritize other reforms to fix the economy.

“It’s crucial to solve problems with a lot of expertise, because if we make a mistake we could end up with hyperinflation,” Milei said in the interview, referring to a pile of more than 23.8 trillion pesos ($66.2 billion) of the central bank’s short-term liabilities held by local creditors.

The new economy minister, Caputo, will also be tasked with renegotiating Argentina’s troubled $43 billion loan from the IMF, on which the country has missed almost all of its targets this year.

Government Out Of Control: Secretive White House Surveillance Program Is Highly Illegal

The surveillance state is even more nightmarish than previously believed, as shown by a recently revealed decades old secret surveillance program that goes well beyond the illegal mass surveillance of NSA dragnets.

The government wants us to believe that we have nothing to fear from its mass spying programs as long as we’ve done nothing wrong.

It doesn’t matter whether you obey every law. The government’s definition of a “bad” guy is extraordinarily broad, and it results in the warrantless surveillance of innocent, law-abiding Americans on a staggering scale.

For instance, it was recently revealed that the White House, relying on a set of privacy loopholes, has been sidestepping the Fourth Amendment by paying AT&T to allow federal, state, and local law enforcement to access—without a warrant—the phone records of Americans who are not suspected of a crime.

This goes way beyond the NSA’s metadata collection program.

Operated during the Obama, Trump and now the Biden presidencies, this secret dragnet surveillance program (formerly known as Hemisphere and now dubbed Data Analytical Services) uses its association with the White House to sidestep a vast array of privacy and transparency laws.

According to Senator Ron Wyden, Hemisphere has been operating without any oversight for more than a decade under the guise of cracking down on drug traffickers.

This is how the government routinely breaks the law and gets away with it: in the so-called name of national security.

More than a trillion domestic phone records are mined through this mass surveillance program every year, warrantlessly targeting not only those suspected of criminal activity but anyone with whom they might have contact, including spouses, children, parents, and friends.

It’s not just law enforcement agencies investigating drug crimes who are using Hemisphere to sidestep the Fourth Amendment, either. Those who have received training on the program reportedly include postal workers, prison officials, highway patrol officers, border cops, and the National Guard.

It’s a program ripe for abuse, and you can bet it’s getting abused.

Surveillance, digital stalking and the data mining of the American people—weapons of compliance and control in the government’s hands—haven’t made America any safer, and they certainly aren’t helping to preserve our freedoms.

Indeed, America will never be safe as long as the U.S. government is allowed to shred the Constitution.

Russia Supreme Court outlaws LGBTQ activism in a landmark ruling

Russia’s Supreme Court effectively outlawed LGBTQ+ activism on Thursday, the most drastic step against advocates of gay, lesbian and transgender rights in the increasingly conservative country.

Ruling in response to a lawsuit filed by the Justice Ministry, the court labeled what the suit called the LGBTQ+ “movement” operating in Russia as an extremist organization and banned it.

The ruling is the latest step in a decade-long crackdown on LGBTQ+ rights in Russia under President Vladimir Putin, who has emphasized “traditional family values” during his 24 years in power.

Thursday’s closed-door hearing lasted four hours. No one besides Justice Ministry representatives were allowed in, and there was no defendant. Journalists were taken into the courtroom only for the reading of the verdict by Judge Oleg Nefedov, who wore a face mask, apparently for health reasons.

The case was classified, and the ministry didn’t disclose any evidence, saying only that authorities had identified “signs and manifestations of an extremist nature” in the movement it seeks to ban, including “incitement of social and religious discord.”

Multiple rights activists have noted the lawsuit was lodged against a movement that is not an official entity, and that under its broad and vague definition, Russian authorities could crack down on any individuals or groups deemed to be part of it.

“In practice, it could happen that the Russian authorities, with this court ruling in hand, will enforce (the ruling) against LGBTQ+ initiatives that work in Russia, considering them a part of this civic movement,” said Max Olenichev, a human rights lawyer who works with the Russian LGBTQ+ community, contacted by The Associated Press before the ruling.

Appeals Court Reinstates Trump Gag Order In Fraud Trial

A New York appeals court reinstated Thursday the gag order imposed on former President Donald Trump by the judge overseeing his civil fraud trial.

Trump asked the appeals court earlier this month to vacate Judge Arthur Engoron’s order, which blocks him from speaking publicly about members of Engoron’s staff, along with the $5,000 and $10,000 fines imposed on him for violations. Associate Justice David Friedman temporarily paused the order on Nov. 16.

“Now, upon reading and filing the papers with respect to the motion, and due deliberation having been had thereon…It is ordered that the motion is denied; the interim relief granted by order of a Justice of this Court, dated November 16, 2023, is hereby vacated,” the appeals court’s order states.

Israeli Minister in Charge of West Bank Says Territory Is Home to ‘2 Million Nazis’

Bezalel Smotrich, a settler himself, previously outlined a plan for Israel to annex the entire West Bank

Bezalel Smotrich, the extremist Israeli finance minister who’s been given sweeping powers over the West Bank, has said the occupied territory is home to “2 million Nazis,” referring to part of the Palestinian population.

It’s estimated that around 3 million Palestinians live in the West Bank. The Times of Israel reported that Smotrich made the comments in an apparent reference to two polls that found two-thirds of West Bank Palestinians supported the October 7 Hamas attack on southern Israel. However, the polls that were referenced surveyed Palestinians living in both Gaza and the West Bank.

The polls also came after weeks of Israel’s brutal bombing campaign and ground incursion into Gaza, as well as a significant uptick in violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Based on polling, Hamas did not have much support before October 7 and the Israeli bombardment that ensued. A poll conducted on October 6 found that 67% of Palestinians in Gaza either had “no trust at all” (44 percent) or “not a lot of trust” (23 percent) in Hamas. The same poll found that 73% of Gazans favored a peaceful solution to the conflict with Israel.

Smotrich, the leader of the Religious Zionism Party, also referenced “Nazis” in the West Bank in comments on X in response to a Fatah official saying the October 7 Hamas attack didn’t happen in a vacuum. “A reminder to those who have not yet sobered up and think that the Nazis in Judea and Samaria are different from the Nazis in Gaza,” Smotrich said, according to Middle East Eye.

Smotrich, a West Bank settler himself, serves as the finance minister in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government but was also given a position in the Defense Ministry, where he has the power to approve new settlement construction and make it even more difficult for Palestinians to build new homes.

Describing the views of Smotrich, the AP reported earlier this year that the politician and his supporters “envision a single state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea in which Palestinians can live quietly with second-class status or leave.”

As a new Knesset member in 2017, Smotrich published a paper outlining an idea for the full Israeli annexation of the West Bank called the “Decisive Plan.” The plan essentially gives Palestinians three options: leave the West Bank for an Arab country, accept Israeli rule, or resist and be killed.

Federal censorship machine started years before COVID, involved military contractors: whistleblower

"Cyber Threat Intelligence League" reportedly intended to implement "cognitive security," which involves "preventing malefactors from hacking people's beliefs."

The public-private efforts to restrict and suppress purported "mis-, dis- and malinformation" across tech platforms started almost immediately after the surprise election of Donald Trump in 2016, ramped up a year before the COVID-19 pandemic, and included U.S. and U.K. military contractors and plans to cut off financial services to dissenters and sue them.

That's according to a "highly credible whistleblower" who says they were recruited to participate in the Cyber Threat Intelligence League (CTIL) "through monthly cybersecurity meetings hosted by" the Department of Homeland Security, independent journalists who reviewed the Twitter Files at new owner Elon Musk's invitation said Tuesday.

Michael Shellenberger and Matt Taibbi are testifying about their latest revelations before the House Judiciary Committee's Weaponization of the Federal Government Subcommittee on Thursday, a year after the first Twitter Files report. Tablet editor Alex Gutentag also collaborated on the report.

The trio says their so-called CTIL Files include "strategy documents, training videos, presentations, and internal messages" provided by the whistleblower that "offer the missing-link answers to key questions not addressed" by the Twitter Files or the similar Facebook Files made available this summer by Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.

The feds appear to be scrambling in response to the flood of congressional interest in, and lawsuits against, their role in so-called content moderation and repeated pressure on social media companies to censor even self-acknowledged true content.

DHS surreptitiously removed a video from its YouTube channel that encouraged people to report "disinformation" spread by their family members, such as "Covid-19 is no worse than the flu," sometime between April 9 and May 9, according to archives of the video page.

The anti-censorship Foundation for Freedom Online preserved the video, whose existence it flagged a year ago, and called attention this week to the DHS removal. The timing suggests it was in response to a federal judge's March 21 ruling that greenlit a First Amendment lawsuit against the collaboration, which the Supreme Court agreed to review this term.

One of the leaders of the DHS-backed Election Integrity Partnership, which facilitated federal requests to remove purported election misinformation, even called on Tesla shareholders to retaliate against its CEO Musk in response to his purchase of Twitter, now X, and pledge to back off aggressive content moderation on the platform.

CTIL "officially began as the volunteer project of data scientists and defense and intelligence veterans," Shellenberger, Taibbi and Gutentag wrote in the first essay of their planned series on the disclosures that includes a handful of the whistleblower's documents.

LARGE BLAST ROCKS HOUTHI-HELD YEMENI CAPITAL

A large blast rocked a mountain near Sanaa city on November 30 afternoon, sparking speculations of an attack on the Yemeni capital which is held by the Houthis (Ansar Allah).

The blast took place at the summit of Attan mountain, where several military facilities are allegedly located. Video footage posted to social media showed a fire and a large column of white smoke rising from the mountain. No casualties were reported.

The Houthis are yet to clarify the causes of the blast. Some Yemeni activists said that the blast emitted from a cooking gas plant and depot. However, other activists speculated that a military facility was attacked by Israel, or even the United States.

The Houthis, who control a large part of Yemen and maintain a large arsenal of missiles and drones, are a part of the so-called “Axis of Resistance” which is backed by Iran and opposes Israel.

After the start of the war on the Palestinian Gaza Strip, the Houthis launched several attacks with missiles and drones against Israel. The group also seized an Israeli-owned ship and vowed to target any other one that approaches Yemen. Israel vowed to respond.

However, the Houthis ceased all operations against Israel after the temporary ceasefire in Gaza entered into effect on November 24.

The Attan mountain blast came less than 24 hours after the U.S. military said that one of its warships intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis from Yemen over the Red Sea. This was not however the first such incident, thus it is most likely not linked to the blast.

Ivy Club, an exclusive eating club at Princeton University, is reportedly part of the 21 Club secret society.

A mysterious Princeton University secret society that allegedly forces members to drink 21 beers in 42 minutes is making campus news after members reportedly trashed one of the school's eating clubs this weekend, The Daily Princetonian reports.

Called the "21 Club," the secret society reportedly gathers together the heaviest drinkers on campus — 21 juniors and 21 seniors — for at least one annual drinking contest. In a 2009 profile of the group titled "An Elusive Institution," The Princetonian reported that "incoming members participate in a drinking contest in which they consume 21 beers, one every other minute for 42 minutes."

Members reportedly represent four of Princeton's oldest and most elite eating clubs — five students each from Cottage Club, Cap and Gown Club, Ivy Club, and Tiger Inn — as well as one independent member. "Most of these people [who receive bids] go out multiple times a week and are completely blacked out, so they're chosen for a reason," one 21 Club member told The Princetonian.

This year, the contest was reportedly held at Tiger Inn. However, the space was so badly wrecked — The Princetonian reports that "21 Club members were allegedly 'throwing the place apart' and 'throwing up everywhere'" — that most of Tiger Inn's student leadership has resigned their positions.

566 arrests in week of coordinated actions in Southern Europe

Officers from 26 countries checked almost 290 000 entities, leading to the detection of 2 229 illegal entries

Between 13 and 18 November 2023, law enforcement authorities across Europe joined forces to target firearms trafficking, drug trafficking, migrant smuggling and trafficking in human beings, and high-risk criminal networks during coordinated EMPACT Joint Action Days South East Europe (EMPACT JAD SEE). In total, 26 countries across Europe, supported by Europol, Eurojust, Frontex, INTERPOL and a number of international structures*, took part in these large-scale coordinated operational activities.

The EMPACT Joint Action Days were planned based on an intelligence-led approach which saw police, customs, immigration agencies and border control agencies join forces. Spain coordinated the operational activities, while Europol coordinated the exchange of operational information between the parties involved.

The EMPACT Joint Action Days included intensified checks at the EU’s external borders and special operations in the countries involved. Police, gendarmerie, border guards, customs authorities and national units involved in combating organised crime across Europe cooperated in these EMPACT Joint Action Days. The intelligence-led approach and cross-border operational coordination involved joint efforts by more than 22 000 officers from the participating authorities. The operation was coordinated from an international coordination centre set up in Skopje, North Macedonia, where officers representing these authorities were present to facilitate international cooperation and respond to operational needs on the ground.

The information exchange led to the opening of 121 new cases against criminal networks. Europol coordinated the exchange of operational information during the EMPACT Joint Action Days and supported the operational coordination. Europol also deployed experts on the ground to provide real-time analytical support to field operatives. The Netherlands deployed two teams with special scanning equipment to border crossing points in Greece and Montenegro. Frontex deployed experts and equipment to the external borders.
