Plus, the fact is that gathering together is a human need. So what should we do instead? Go to the bar? Go to the sex club? Go to the cinema?
Give up your church and you give up on all those people. You don't help them and consol them, you don't share their joy upon the presentation of their children to the congregation. You don't enjoy them as they grow up and become adults. You leave them with fewer examples of functioning adults.
so the person who says 'I found God, I don't need anyone else' is basically ignoring that sometimes where you find God is in other people. And those people are often at the church or the synagogue or the mosque, or in the long house, or even at the lodge (if that's your thing)
so you abandon all that, the necessity of community, and make yourself much easier prey for the bad people.
so all you psyop people peddling that argument: if you really knew God you would know that God wants you to put yourself out there.
and plus, if the churches and holy places that you call 'religions' are really all horrid, then maybe it's because of people like you telling all the good people to abandon them. And thus the thing that makes sense is for good people to go and occupy the pews and chairs, or bring their mats for their devotion as some do.
