TYB!
Announcing: Flameshot box (e.g., post) detection!
Saves most of the time it takes to capture screenshots of posts.
See vidrels.
Vidrel1 shows how frustrating it can be to get the exact edges of the post; anon often would just be sloppy about it.
Vidrel2 shows how much more satisfying this code change is! Just put the mouse inside a post, hit PrintScreen, and it highlights the post immediately. Then just hit the Save icon, then give it a filename or accept the default and click Save.
Anon's life has gotten so much easier! :)
Want to share with others.
Anon needs some help; if you have a Github account, would you mind upvoting or commenting? If you're a Flameshot maintainer, would you mind discussing with the management, etc?
This saves anon's time.
Hopefully it can save yours!

Also note: if you have the ability/skills to build it, you can make use of it to save yourself time right now, before they approve of the pull request:

Working on being able to grab a post user hovers over the digits of (e.g., "pretend mouse is ~200 pixels to the right", when capturing).
Also rounded corner detection.
Better background color detection (right now it's just the pixel under the mouse).
And perhaps auto-saving with default filename to save even more time, would be able to capture a post with just a button press. (Then later use Tesseract OCR etc to extract the text, put it in a database, add it to an AI, etc…)
Anyway, step 1: reduce user frustration, has achieved a measure of success.
Thanks for your consideration. God bless in Jesus name.
