Every time I sing this, it makes me glad ya'll are here.
Somehow, it always comes out with an Irish tempo. Go figure!
Happy Fourth of July!

A Song For The Great Majority
Dedicated to POTUS and Q
By StriderAnon
I am the great majority, though you don’t understand-
I am the great majority, though you don’t give a damn.
I’ve picked your rice in China, picked your cotton in Tennessee-
And anywhere that I’ve been, you’ve come to live off me.
I’ve worked for you in Thailand, as I made your lovely silk-
I’ve done the same in Russia, as I bottled State owned milk.
In America, I worked for you from Natchez to Duluth-
And all the time you’re prayin’ that I never learn the Truth.
I’ve fought your wars in Europe, in Spain and Vietnam-
I’ve spilled my blood to save your gold and killed my fellow man.
And every time I ask you “Why?” you always smile and say-
“It was just for you; you wanted that; there was no other way”.
Your name may change by country, but your style remains the same-
You take and hurt because you need the power and the fame.
And though I’m slow to anger, I’m a black wind when I’m sore-
And all I want are basic rights, to fear and hurt no more.
I sometimes don’t see clearly and in growth I’ve made mistakes-
But then again, I don’t expect you’ll deal me any breaks.
So when you hear me knockin’ and that ice-cube feelin’ starts-
I hope you think of all the fear you placed in all those hearts.
And now the Storm is coming, you want to make a deal-
Your flags are false, your masks are off, there’s nothing of you real.
To you we’re just the peasants, from us you always take-
I wonder how you’re gonna deal with us when we’re awake?
I am the flow of Humanness, spreading through the land-
We are the Great Majority, and we’re reaching, linking hands.
We’ve picked your rice in China, picked your cotton in Tennessee-
And anywhere you hear this song, we’re learning to be free.
