Operation Cyanide
On June 8, 1967 the now infamous false-flag attack on the USS Liberty occurred. While the incident is now well known online, what is not is that the crew of the vessel were saved by Russian intervention. At the time of the incident, an SOS put out by the American crew was detected by nearby Soviet forces, resulting in Destroyer 626/4 arriving to the aid of the American ship. As a result, the Israelis were forced to stop their attack at a moment where they had teams ready to board the ship.
>Destroyer 626/4 arriving to the aid of the American ship. As a result, the Israelis were forced to stop their attack
For some reason, the attack failed to sink the Liberty, despite tons of explosives, rockets, cannon-fire, napalm and six torpedoes expended against the ship in attacks that went on for almost two hours. Nuclear-armed American bombers were launched against Cairo from a US aircraft carrier but were recalled when the Liberty managed to send a distress signal with a repaired radio and antenna. The operation had to be abandoned because it required absolute radio silence and the disappearance of the ship. The initial strike by IDF fighters destroyed all antennae, combined with jamming of all five secret radio frequencies.
That the Russian vessel saved the Americans is attested to both in official documents, including a 1983 declassified memo by the U.S. Navy and NSA documents from 2011.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Assembly
According to Jewish tradition the Great Assembly (Great Synagogue or Synod) was an assembly of 120 scribes, sages, and prophets, which existed from the early Second Temple period to the early Hellenistic period, roughly coinciding with the Persian hegemony over the nation of Israel. The assembly's members, known as Anshei Knesset HaGedolah "The Men of the Great Assembly", traditionally included such figures as Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Ezra, Nehemiah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah, Mordechai and Zerubbabel.
Among the developments in Judaism that are attributed to the rabbis of this period are the fixing of the Jewish biblical canon (including the Book of Ezekiel, Daniel, Esther, and the Twelve Minor Prophets); the introduction of the Feast of Purim; and the institution of many prayers and rituals including the Amidah prayer.

Who were the Pharisees and Sadducees?
To put things simply, the Pharisees believed in the supernatural angels, demons, heaven, hell, and so on while the Sadducees did not.
Most of the Sadducees were aristocratic. They came from families of noble birth who were very well connected in the political landscape of their day. We might call them "old money" in modern terminology. Because of this, the Sadducees were typically well connected with the ruling authorities among the Roman Government. They held a great deal of political power.
The Pharisees, on the other hand, were more closely connected with the common people of the Jewish culture. They were typically merchants or business owners who had become wealthy enough to turn their attention to studying and interpreting the Scriptures โ "new money," in other words. Whereas the Sadducees had a lot of political power because of their connections with Rome, the Pharisees had a lot of power because of their influence over the masses of people in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas.
Despite these differences, both the Pharisees and Sadducees were able to join forces against someone they both perceived to be a threat: Jesus Christ.
>Pharisees and Sadducees were able to join forces against someone they both perceived to be a threat: Jesus Christ.
Sadducees were largely secular in their practice of religion. They denied the idea of being resurrected from the grave after death. In fact, they denied any notion of an afterlife, which means they rejected the concepts of eternal blessing or eternal punishment; they believed this life is all there is. The Sadducees also scoffed at the idea of spiritual beings such as angels and demons. The Pharisees, on the other hand, were much more invested in the religious aspects of their religion. They took the Old Testament Scriptures literally, which meant they very much believed in angels and other spiritual beings, and they were completely invested in the promise of an afterlife for God's chosen people.
