elections for cops are you fucking stupid? First off some elections already happen for LE and they are called sheriffs and they are already masons and corrupted as you correctly did point out. The problem is two fold one is brotherhood mentality in institutions, secondly is the corruption that ensues due to the nature of the institution. You could talk about hiring better people, the problem is that the people most suited to be cops are often not and because hiring is down just like the military they have to lower qualifications for people to join.
