MIT, Harvard, UPenn presidents under fire over testimony on antisemitism, genocide

Claudine Gay, Harvard president, has tried to clarify answers she gave

Sarah Beth Hensley Thursday, December 7, 20231/2

The president of Harvard, Claudine Gay, and the presidents of MIT and the University of Pennsylvania are being called on to resign after testimony.

WASHINGTON – In the face of bipartisan backlash, Harvard University's president on Wednesday tried to clarify answers she gave during a congressional hearing on Tuesday when asked how she would respond to calls for the "genocide of Jews."

Claudine Gay, one of three university presidents grilled before the House Education Committee over how they handled antisemitism on campus, issued a statement through the Harvard X account about an exchange that has drawn online ire: a tense back-and-fourth between Gay and New York Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik.

Stefanik had asked Gay the hypothetical question: "Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate Harvard's rules on bullying and harassment?"

Gay responded, "The rules around bullying and harassment are quite specific and if the context in which that language is used amounts to bullying and harassment, then we take, we take action against it."Stefanik said that kind of answer fostered antisemitism.

"I asked a very specific question: Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate their schools' bullying and harassment policies? Not a single university president could say 'yes,'" Stefanik said afterward to ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Selina Wang.

Stefanik called for Gay and the other presidents of MIT and the University of Pennsylvania who gave similar responses – to resign.

In her statement Wednesday, Gay said, "There are some who have confused a right to free expression with the idea that Harvard will condone calls for violence against Jewish students."

"Calls for violence or genocide against the Jewish community, or any religious or ethnic group are vile, they have no place at Harvard," she said, adding, "Those who threaten our Jewish students will be held to account."

Harvard is among the schools being investigated by the U.S. Department of Education for complaints of antisemitism and Islamophobic discrimination on campus.

During Tuesday's hearing, Stefanik a Harvard alumna also pressed Gay on whether admissions offers would be rescinded or any disciplinary action would be taken against students or applicants who say "from the river to the sea" or "intifada" – both terms that have been identified as antisemitic rhetoric by Jewish advocacy groups.

Such language has been used in campus protests, which have ramped up since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack by Hamas that killed more than 1,200 people. More than 16,000 people have been killed in Gaza since Oct. 7, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry.

Gay would not directly answer Stefanik's specific questions and said generally that "actions have been taken" against students who have used those terms, but also defended Harvard's free-speech policy.

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise joined the call for the presidents to resign, posting to X Wednesday morning that "their hypocrisy is stunning." "Disgusting that the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and UPenn refused to say that 'calling for the genocide of Jews' is considered harassment and bullying. Let's be clear: It is," Scalise wrote. "This shouldn't be hard for college presidents to say."

Former U.N. Ambassador and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said in a post on X that the "equivocation from these college presidents is disgusting." "Calling for genocide of Jews is no different than calling for genocide of any other ethnic, racial, or religious group. The equivocation from these college presidents is disgusting," she said. "As POTUS, this will end or we'll pull their tax exempt status."

White House spokesman Andrew Bates blastedthe university presidents for their responses as well. "It's unbelievable that this needs to be said: calls for genocide are monstrous and antithetical to everything we represent as a country," Bates said in a statement.

"Any statements that advocate for the systematic murder of Jews are dangerous and revolting - and we should all stand firmly against them, on the side of human dignity and the most basic values that unite us as Americans."

Comer: DOJ Indicted Hunter to Protect Joe Biden

Pam Key 8 Dec 20231

House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” that he believedHunter Biden was indictedby federal prosecutor David Weiss on nine federal tax counts on Thursdayto protect his father President Joe Biden.

Comer said, “What he got charged with, with that indictment last night, that had nothing to do with all of the so-called loans that the Bidens have taken. We’ve identified, it appears, with the president’s son and brother, over $14 million in loans where it doesn’t look like they made any payments on, principal or interest. And what point do those loans, if you’re not going to pay ’em back, become income?

Comer added, “So, we think this is just the tip of the iceberg. We think there’s many more crimes. and my concern is that Weiss may have indicted Hunter Biden to protect him from having to be deposed in the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.”

Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Ah, yes, yes. He indicted him to protect him. Yess the classic rubric. He indicted him to protect him. I got it.”

Comer said, “Well, look, this whole thing Jake, you know, this whole thing’s been about a coverup. You know you’ve got two serious—

Tapper said, “That’s why he indicted him, to protect him? To cover it up?”

Comer said, “Look, you indict him on the least little thing, the gun charge and not paying taxes.”

Tapper said, “He’s facing like 17 additional years in prison. These are felonies.”

Comer said, “Yeah, but look at what he’s done. Anybody else in America would already be in prison. He may owe $7 or $8 million if the loans are fraudulent, a loan means you’ll pay it back.Look, at the end of the day, this money is coming from bad people around the world. Why are they paying Hunter Biden? We believe that it’s because they want a direct access to Joe Biden.I don’t think that any American would want a president that’s compromised to our biggest enemy in the world, China.”

Canadian Journalist Who Advocated Draconian Vaxx-Passport Mandates Dies Mysteriously at 33By J.D. Rucker • Dec. 9, 2023

(Discern Report)—The list of outspoken Covid-19 “vaccine” advocates dying continues to grow. Most, including Canadian business journalist Ian Vandaelle, were otherwise young and healthy before their demise. Vandaelle was 33 when he died earlier this week.

As usual, nothing connecting his untimely death to Covid-19 or the spike-protein-inducing “vaccines” are openly mentioned by medical professionals or media covering the story. It doesn’t matter how many people die mysteriously. The jabs are not allowed to be considered as the root cause even though the scientific evidence makes it pretty obvious.

33-year-old Canadian MSM journalist who heavily promoted the Covid-19 vaccine, advocated for vaccine passports, and the firing of those who refused the jab has died after being hospitalized and “declared neurologically dead.”

Ian Vandaelle, a 33-year-old Canadian business journalist, worked as a reporter and editor at the Financial Post and was previously a producer at BNN Bloomberg for over a decade.

Stephanie Hughes, Vandaelle’s partner, shared the news of his death on her X account on December 5, 2023, stating, “I haven’t been on Twitter for a while because my partner, @IanVandaelle, has been in the hospital since Nov. 18. It’s with a heavy heart today that I say he was declared neurologically deceased this week and taken off life support this morning. He was 33 years old.”

Vandaelle had taken to social media multiple times, advocating for incentives to encourage Covid-19 vaccination, the implementation of vaccine passports, and the termination of those who refused the jab.

In one social media post, Vandaelle stated, “I, for one, advocate we bring the carrot and the stick. Incentivize getting the vaccine however we like – ice cream, lotteries, literally whatever, I don’t care – and require vaccination to do non-essential things. Wanna go to a bar to watch the game? Passport.”

In another post, he urged the Toronto Police to terminate members who declined the jab, saying, “Take the jab or resign; anything else is moral and ethical cowardice. You take an oath to protect citizens? You get vaxxed. Shameful that we have to say this.”

Vandaelle seemed in good health and actively engaged in work, as indicated by various social media posts before his hospitalization.

There is no way to know if the jabs were the cause. Neither corporate media nor doctors will ever declare it. They’ll simply chalk it up as another example of “unexplained” deaths which have been skyrocketing across the globe since 2021.
