wrong
can you tell me why?
yes, it's wrong
but you can't tell me why?
how come?
you're not a philosopher are you?
you got it all wrong.
you are playing a game.
going on about who and who isn't going to heaven is a game to you.
does it bother you that people see thorugh your malice?
you probably don't even believe in Heaven.
Steely Dan - Bodhisattva (With Lyrics)
the leaders of the Jews had Roman Citizenship, so do mean Jewish Romans?
"How Great Thou Art"
a hymn
what is your point in pretending to be interested in these mysteries, anon?
the studying of the purpose and reasons for Jesus takes some people years to comprehend. And een when they hear all the reasons that others know about it, they still reject the idea of it.
using the story of Jesus to start fights here hardly has any other purpose than to just start fights here.
you question like accusations.
The Lord is very forgiving and died for all humanity, not just those who right now fit some narrative that you believe.
so I will ask: what is your purpose with badgering people with these questions? Questions that are deep and complex and not easily answered to the non faithful.
if you don't understand about these things, then the questions you ask have no purpose other than to allow you to scoff at whoever answer them.
why don't you answer your own questions?:
why would he need to explain how you badgering him is nonsense.your behavior clearly is, and anyone can see it.
you don't have a loving point of view, and you demand answers to things that you probably are already set on.
if you have a set point of view why don't you just share it with him instead of acting like an inquistor or accuser?
you're not being a loving fellow, anon, but a badger troll.
you have your game that you play.
you post a picture of Hitler.
I'm not even a bit skeptical: you don't care about these issues but think this is a big game.
you aren't an inquisitor, and we aren't your prisoners under interrogation.
now it insults me and pretends I'm under aged.
again: you are just playing a game and don't care about the answers to the questions you ask.
you're just a time waster and a troll.
The Flight to Egypt
(Hosea 11:1-7)
13And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
14When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: 15And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
Herod Slaughters Infants
(Jeremiah 31:1-30)
16Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. 17Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,
18In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
33Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? 34Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? 35Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 36Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 38Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. 39But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? 40Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber
The Resurrection
(Psalm 16:1-11; Psalm 49:1-20; Matthew 28:1-10; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-12)
1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. 2Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. 3Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. 4So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. 5And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. 6Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, 7And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. 8Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. 9For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
the answer is that the cowards of the temple used the Roman's as patsy's is what you wanted to hear?
Who was responsible for it?
the Cowards at the temple who wanted to sacrifice one man for the glory of their nation could have asked to have Jesus released but they didn't.
the Roman soliders who performed the crucifiction wouldn't have done it without the cowards of the temple demanding it of Pilate. and him being a coward too he didn't say 'screw you scum bags, the man is innocent'
so who was to blame verse who killed him?
but what does that matter 2000 years later, anon? Why so fixated on that?
because you imagine you are some how represented by those cowards?
2000 years did nothing to distance you from the guilt of having cowards as your ancestors, and butchers who condemned an innocent man to death?
the proper answer as you call it reveals you as wanting to place guilt on some group when, in fact, that guilt is of no consequence to you today.
and the fact that you can't see that, and play this ethnic baiting game 2000 years after the fact . . .tells me a lot about you.
after 2000 years do you hear the story as a story of abuse of power or a story about jews verse romans?
and in the end who were the righteous?
some of each group, anon.
the answer to the question is of little or no consequence.
the blame game you are playing is what you ought to inspect, and may be of some consequence in your life.
you probably have ancestors from both groups, so why does the answer matter so much to you? and why couldn't you figure out a rightous answer on your own?
why fixated on that small part and ignoring the rest of the story?
Gospel of Mathew: story of the nativity and the flight to Egypt of Mary, Joseph and Jesus.
you don't even know whta you are discussing, nor do you understand it.
people spend years studying the Gospels and you demand answers in shitposts.
and yes, Jesus gave himself freely.
He loves us that much that he fulfilled the blood sacrifice that was required for the forgiveness of sin to do it for all of humanity for all time.
and how do I explain that to you in a terse post, anon?
The Jews of the temple knew the scripture, they knew where he was to be born, they even sent the Wise men there, but they didn't care to go themselves. why didn't they go too, when they realized that the scripture was about to be fulfiled? how did they know where to send the wisemen if they didn't know the scripture.
but the scripture also predicted how even though . . . they knew . . . they'd reject him.
thats why you have the various parables about the wedding and the guests who refused to come to it, and how the bridegroom said 'OK, invite whoever and those people won't be there even if they change their mind.'
the message of Jesus is joyous, and salvation is His gift to us.
so what is your purpose in your inquistion other than to just try and force people into some kind of strange doubt, or to embrace a strong delusion?
If you don't believe that Jesus Christ died for the forgiveness of sins, freely and willingly, then why are you even talking about it?
doesn't that make you happy, that as horrible as people are Jesus forgives them when they go through reconciliation? (confess and make good?)
you should be happy.
and instead of attacking anon for not answer questions in a way that fits your narrative, you act like they are deficient and bad.
you have a very unforgiving way about you.
this one is saying repulsive things to get a reaction.
Constant Gardener is a pseudonym that Ben Franklin used when he was editor of a paper in Philadelphia. Under that name he would to say outrageous things to get a response from readers and create controversy.
