(Natural News) Thanks to the incessant Left-wing counter-culture social engineering and increasing levels of violence and bullying, more American parents are pulling their kids out of failing government schools and teaching them at home.

As reported by The Washington Times, the recent school shooting at Parkland, Fla., was the last straw for scores of parents. The paper noted that “the phones started ringing at the Texas Home School Coalition, and they haven’t stopped yet.”

The Times added:

The Lubbock-based organization has been swamped with inquiries for months from parents seeking safer options for their kids in the aftermath of this year’s deadly school massacres, first in Parkland and then in Santa Fe, Texas.

In working to combat the rampant fraud, the DOJ has announced an unprecedented crackdown on medical fraud, charging over 600 people with criminal activities that involved over $2 billion medical fraud.

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions delivered prepared remarks, saying, “This year we are charging 601 people, including 76 doctors, 23 pharmacists, 19 nurses, and other medical personnel with more than $2 billion in medical fraud. In this latest operation, with the help of our fabulous partners at HHS, we have charged another 162 people—including 32 doctors—with the illegal distribution of opioids. This is the most doctors, the most medical personnel, and the most fraud that the Department of Justice has ever taken on in any single law enforcement action. This is the most defendants we’ve ever charged with health care fraud. It’s also the most opioid-related fraud defendants we’ve ever charged in a single enforcement action.”

Russian military contracts 1st batch of 5th-gen Su-57 stealth fighters

The Russian military has signed the first contract to receive 12 fifth-generation Su-57 stealth fighters. The state-of-the-art jets are to be delivered to the armed forces next year.

“The first contract for 12 aircraft has been agreed on, and the deliveries under this contract will begin shortly,” Deputy Defense Minister Alexey Krivoruchko told reporters in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

Portland, Oregon: Concealed Carrying Gun Owner Shot & Killed By Police After Gun Fell On Ground

A gun owner in Portland, Oregon, who was carrying his weapon concealed, was fatally shot by police after his gun fell to the ground and he attempted to retrieve it.

Jason Washington, 45, was shot and killed on the Portland State University campus on Friday morning as he attempted to de-escalate a fight which involved a friend of his.
