Very many people have speculated about Atlantis. No one has found it.
some say 'oh, it must be this civilization' and others 'oh it must be that civilization' others 'it's just a myth'.
anon, curious as anon are, most likely read a lot of various accounts.
I had my 'lost cities' phase of research 25 or more years ago and love the stories about lost cities. I've had a 'real archology' phase more recently.
and so when someone, like that other poster, goes into his 'oh Atlantis' bit, with less than 45 word (or even less) I just say 'who is fooled by this?'
and as far as 'where is it' or 'has it been found', I would think that an intelligent seeker after historical truth would do their research off line and then get to the place where they understand (as you seem to) that the answer can not be stated as being conclusive. There is no consensus amoung those who study ancient history, nor have any ruins been found that seem to fit, exactly, the very scant and thin accounts that come from antiquity.
I do think that there was an an Atlantis, but when it was and where?
I tend to lean 'near Cadiz, in the Hyberian penninsula' but I'm just going on thin evidence.
another theory is a dome-mountains formation in the deserts of North West Africa. I doubt in the Americas because that's too far away.
as far as 'is it 400,000 years ago'? that number is a fantasy anything that old would be astounding and nothing like that, no human city, that old, has ever been discovered or alleged by anyone in the Archeological community.
conclusion: shills use antiquarian speculations as a distraction. Intelligent anons either filter or comment, as you did, that it's a distraction.
Atlantis is an interesting topic, and a blue-pill study (meaning it's a pleasant distraction) if you have some time.
is it a serious topic for here?
I'd say no unless some major new find occurs.
