A helicopter pilot killed in a mid-air collision in Buckinghamshire on Friday has been named as Capt Mike Green, according to the Press Association.
He was a senior instructor with Helicopter Services, based at Wycombe Air Park.
A spokesman for the company, which offers training flights and gift experiences, declined to comment.
Green, who had learned to fly in the army, was hailed by fellow pilots as โone of the bestโ.
Former colleague Capt Phil Croucher said: โHe was probably the most well-respected instructor in the country. He achieved a very high position within the army as an instructor. If you wanted a training instructor thereโs no one more highly qualified.โ
The police have yet to officially release any details of the victims, saying formal identification was still under way.
Green, who was in his 60s, is survived by a partner and family.

Judge grants teenโs restraining order against Richmond police chief and husband who say she is being sex trafficked

In an emotional restraining order hearing Monday, the police chief of Richmond and her husband, an Oakland sergeant, agreed to stay away for two years from a female relative โ an 18-year-old woman the couple believe is being sex trafficked by an older man who faces charges in the matter.
With a couple dozen friends and family members in attendance, many dabbing their eyes with tissues, visiting Contra Costa County Superior Court Judge Ksenia Tsenin brokered a compromise between Bisa and Lee French and their teenage relative, who was seeking a restraining order, claiming the Frenches assaulted her.
The couple must stay away from the young woman and contact neither her nor her partner, Oho McNair, 34, who has been charged by Alameda County prosecutors with pimping and pandering.
McNair made $100,000 bail in the case and was released, records show. As part of his release, he was ordered to stay away from the teen, said Michael Rains, an attorney for the Frenches.
The hearing followed a tumultuous year for the French family. Bisa and Lee French allege their relative was manipulated into becoming a prostitute on the streets of Oakland by McNair, who also goes by the name โJoe Goldman.โ
