That is a damn good question. Religion seems to be one of the answers people find in the darkness, why shouldn't they it provides a hope of something more than this. It gives them the frail belief like they fucking matter. They cling to the perceived truth because what else is there to grab on to. The other answer to this is of course Nihilism which also is a correct answer a little more honest in its approach though, but that is also just like religion only based on what we currently have been allowed to know. There is one other answer called absurdism, which is embracing the chaos. So what do. Nothing. That is the problem. The masses need their crutches even though that system is part of the one lying to you. There is no replacement because what it would require is them to be brave and venture into the unknown. Not as individuals but as society. Then it would not be as scary not knowing shit, if no one knew shit.
well parts of all of it are true, but parts are also totally manufactured and thus leading people to different conclusions, ones they want you to have. People get lazy when they think they have truth, and complacent when they find god. Then the conflation comes when you talk to people about what they think, believe, and then act out. Just like the communist liberals shrieking about how safe the jab was, these idiots shriek about their savior, but never question the source. So it seems neither the science nor the religion is settled.
