The British multinational oil and gas company BP has declared that it will suspend all its tanker traffic through the Red Sea following the attacks on ships from Yemen travelling to Israel.
BP is currently the seventh largest oil/gas company in the world.

how does having oil here, but allowing it be drilled, refined and sold abroad by permitted private multinational companies keep it here?
US MIL could have an Energy Deparment, where they do all US owned resource extractio, refinement, and distribution, and no longer do any business w/private energy companies.
Free energy and exotic energy tech patents are likely DARPA/US mil anyway, so way not make that aspect of Govt/Mil a revenue stream instead of the whole of it being a cost? USD backed by US energy, from US holdings and produced by US citizens only, solely withing the USA.
