Summary of the order: They ruled for Trump to be left off the ballot. But… They stayed decision until the day before the Secretary of Colorado had to make the decision about the ballot (Jan 4).
If the Supreme Court does NOT hear the case before that date the stay remains in place until such time.
So they are counting on an appeal and are giving them time do so.
