I find a killer meteor arriving on solstice improbable. A solstice is an inflection point of the of the orbital derivative (changing a direction of interaction between heliosphere and magnetosphere). Therefore whatever it triggers should mostly be in the dimension above ours.
It may affect the physical Earth in barely detectable ways, but I suspect the impact is primarily spiritual. Perhaps the upcoming event is an exception.
