We are but 8 Billion Super-Mammals who are currently all thrust and no vector.

If you've been watching the US Space Program and it's child the Auto Industry, you can see the hard lean into onboard automated accident avoidance technology.

Autonomous flight controls are now much better than the average human.

And fly-by-wire systems can make fighter jets do things that exceed the human performance limits of the most intensely trained fighter pilots.

The human has become the limiting factor in the safer driving and flying systems equation.

Which is fine, because by releasing control, we get super cool new toys.

>give control of your car to the military.

Automated Accident Avoidance

Lane Monitoring

Collision Detection Warning & Braking systems

Anti-Lock braking systems

G-force, pitch, and yaw monitoring chips

Traction control systems

Automated hybrid engine switching

Digital charging management

CommSat/GPS nub for "XM Satellite Radio"

On-Board GPS Navigation Instructions.

Tire Pressure Management Systems (TPMS)

Etc.

"The Military" and the MIC, and Aerospace Industry created all of these technologies that have been standard on many popular cars for the last decade or more.

Remember the big lawsuit over the toyotas that "lost control" of the accelerator and killed the drivers.

Seems they've fixed that problem. Apparently some sort of electromagnetic interference in the the throttle control wire.
