After reading some of the early writings of the founders and their "struggles" to "free" themselves (however serious they may have actually been kek) There are many times they say things like

We shall not be held In Dependence of the King

No longer are we In Dependence to the throne etc.

Well, I quess that freedum thing did not quite happen, as we are about to "celebrate" our IN DEPENDENCE.
