First off, this is highly notable.

 

Second, I think you guys may be misreading what's actually going on in this story:

The key point is that the authorities secretly copied the server before any evidence was destroyed. Then Awan / his conspirators replaced the original server (which "went missing") in an attempt to destroy the evidence.

 

The point is not that the server is "missing." It's that the authorities have a full copy of the data, and the conspirators' efforts to destroy the evidence failed.
