Google's COO Diane Bryant out
MW Google Cloud confirms Diane Bryant out as COO
Alphabet Inc.'s (GOOGL)(GOOGL) Google Cloud Platform confirmed Tuesday its Chief Operating Officer Diane Bryant is no longer with the company following news reports of her departure. "We can confirm that Diane Bryant is no longer with Google," the company said in an emailed statement to MarketWatch. "We are grateful for the contributions she made while at Google and we wish her the best in her next pursuit." As of publication early Tuesday, Bryant was still listed on Google Cloud's staff page (https://cloud.google.com/press/). Bryant was in the COO slot for less than a year (https://www.blog.google/products/google-cloud/please-welcome-diane-bryant-google-cloud/), having come over from Intel Corp. (INTC) in November (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/intel-data-center-executive-diane-bryant-hired-by-google-2017-11-30). One analyst feels that Bryant is a likely candidate for Chief Executive at Intel (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/after-krzanich-exit-intel-must-do-something-it-has-never-done-2018-06-21), following the abrupt resignation of CEO Brian Krzanich in late June.
