At least 16 people have died in a military plane crash in Leflore County, Mississippi, the countyโs emergency management director, Fred Randle, told CNN. The plane reportedly crashed in a soybean field at around 4 p.m. local time on Monday. According to Randle, there were no survivors. A local sheriff told The Clarion-Ledger that most of the passengers were marines, but was unable to say whether any civilians were on board.
Also found one in 91 on 7/10. Not sure this one counts but throwing it out there.
The deadliest crash was L'Express Airlines Flight 508 , which went down in Birmingham while attempting to land during a thunderstorm at Birmingham Municipal Airport. The accident, on July 10, 1991, killed 13 people. Only the pilot and a passenger, Mabry Rogers, survived. The plane crashed into two houses in Ensley and injured four people on the ground.
