>Packing the court

FDR tried it due to a conservative court rejecting New Deal legislation and failed; one new justice for every justice over 70 up to a maximum of six. Although some say it may have affected some SCOTUS decisions in the aftermath. This time may be a direct Dem threat.

I was rereading Q's crumbs while this site was down. It always pays to reread, amirite? Two in particular stood out in reference to something else I'd recalled from last year in TIME regarding Trump's Whitehouse renovations. Don't know why it clicked or if it's been previously dug and I missed it, as I've only been here since December or so. But I was immediately creeped out.

But few rooms have changed so much so fast as his dining room, where he often eats his lunch amid stacks of newspapers and briefing sheets. A few weeks back, the President ordered a gutting of the room. “We found gold behind the walls, which I always knew. Renovations are grand,” he says, boasting that contractors from the General Services Administration resurfaced the walls and redid the moldings in two days. “Remember how hard they worked? They wanted to make me happy.”

Hmmm… What was the gold? Related to Q's posts?
