If Lionel were disciplined he would be one of the best, but he rambles too much. I guess some people like that, if they are not tight for time.
I tried to watch with my wife a couple times and Lionel just drives her nuts because he starts to make a point and then goes off on endless tangents …. so we don't watch him.
Maybe he appeals more to older people who don't have much going on in their lives ….
But yes Lionel is a lot more interesting than most of the TV talkers.
