That is not accurate but I understand the sentiment. Freemasonry and the Knights both state that they take a good man and make him better, for a reason; and that is is to lull them into their trap thinking that they will learn something about God. they slowly compromise them by way of "Degrees" until they are trapped and can't leave or else be arrested by some of their very members who are judges and cops.
Do not blame religion for this, they use the candidates lack of understanding as a weapon against them.
