Jesus came to reconcille God to man and man to God. God is Holy, God is Just. A holy God requires justice for sin. Jesus came to earth to be the sacrifice needed to satisfy the penalty for sin, and to overcome the sin nature, that man who belive in Jesus may be imputed righteousness by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
