maybe it's guilt from finally understanding that there is a situation where they believed the lies that they were told and now are seeing 'oh, huh, the stuff that's being done isn't right. There are no heroes in this' and yet they ahve to tow the line because there is a war on and can't admit 'by the way, there really is a separate and unequal relationship, and some get a much easier time of it than others and the stuff that our grand parents told us is probably all just made up, and we really weren't always doing the right thing, and we weren't always victims and we often times hired our own before others, and promoted our own before others, and in college a lot of us stole other people's works, and hacked their computer accounts, and a lot of the businesses that we started were built on the hard work of others and we fired them all without cause and profiteered.
and we got all our relatives elected to congress, and we took at the jobs at all the universities and there really is an unequal situation, and we really aren't smarter than everyone else, and probably the stories from the past that we were told were mostly fables and we didn't really have it any harder than anyone, and in fact ran grifts where we pretended to be broke and kept money from people so that their kids could get free houseing and welfare and health care and then, when they were out of college, then we gave them their trust funds . . .
