Huge plasma release on the South Pole of the Sun. Curiously coincided with an M1 flare from AR3536, which is near the east limb just above the solar equator.

Visible in 304 angstroms for those inclined to check. The M flare is visible also, but better viewed in higher frequencies like 131 or 94 angstroms.

Jim, minor housekeeping issue that you're probably already aware of, but I haven't seen notice of it yet, is that selecting Tree View from the Options menu borks up the works.

 

Scripts start looping and the page has to be abandoned and restarted and ensured that tree view is deselected. Which kinda sucks. It's a useful, if tedious option, that is helpful enough to justify its lagginess.

 

Not sure if you all are on this or it was disabled, but its been about a week.
