interestingly all adversaries or "enemies of the uSA (Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, NIcaragua, Russia, China etc ) are constitutional republics but are said not to be liberal democracies like the US … but America's closest allies tend not to be constituional republicas even if some of them are liberal democracies … 5EYE allies are UK: monarchy, no written constitution but a liberal democracy and then the commonwealth nations formally under the British crowns … some of them also don't have written constitutio n , NZ didn't have I don't know now … Israel does not have a written constitutio n … in the Middle East the US is allied with dictatorial and more liberal monarchies against constitutional republics …

Saudi Arabia has banned political parties and says it's constitution is Koran … China actually has several parties …

in democracies the lawmakers indeed are elected, that's the feature of a Democracy, but it's not a feature of all constitutional republics
