Serious question for bible fags. How is it that the KJV is basically taken as the ultimate Word by most “Christians”? Shouldn’t the originally source material written in languages other than English be where one should look for anything close to the actual history and knowledge they seek? I’ve never been able to quite wrap my head around the amount of blind faith placed in that one translation offered to the world by an English monarch.
So why did my college prof who was teaching bible history back in the day shit so heavily on the bible I asked him about that I was gifted that was supposedly translated directly from Aramaic? He was adamant that KJV was end all be all.
