Spouse anon is an ER Nurse. Her hospital system has already made masks mandatory for employees (just the basic surgical masks, not the N95s…yet). The hospital system is "strongly encouraging" patients and visitors to mask up, even going so far as to hand every person who comes through the door a basic surgical mask, whether they want/use it or not.
God wants what is best for us. Sometimes we don't see that the way he does, but His thoughts and ways are higher than ours. Satan, on the other hand, knows what we want and, even when it's not what is best for us, he tempts us with it anyway. He tried to tempt Jesus but failed.
We are in NC. The state hasn't mandated them yet, but her hospital system has and I'm sure other NC hospital systems will follow suit if they haven't already.
