Former US Vice President Mike Pence sparked controversy after Israeli media published photos of a US official signing off on Israeli artillery shells to be fired at Lebanon.
Photos show Pence, during a recent visit to Israel, signing artillery shells with a marker and writing the message "For Israel", the Israeli newspaper Inet reported.
Pence, who served as deputy to former US President Donald Trump from 2017 to 2021, visited Israeli troops stationed on the Israel-Lebanon border on Friday amid months of conflict between the country and the Lebanese Hezbollah group, Arab News reported.
