I still maintain that Rush's heart was in the right place. His love for America as founded and the tenets of small government conservatism were genuine. In hindsight he supported bad actors that were not genuine themselves, but i don't believe Rush was in on the ruse. Many good God fearing conservative Americans supported Bush simply because they were ill informed.

Rush was crazy generous with his money privately, and extremely charitable. Day in and day out touted the philosophy of conservatism. Was pro Trump from the start and never waivered.
