People need to get away from the idea that citizenship is based on WHERE a person is born.

It is not. That is how we got all of these illegitimate anchor babies.

Citizenship is based on if your parents were citizens at the time of your birth.

0bama is a US citizen because his mom was a US citizen at the time of his birth. It does not matter WHERE he was born.

Kamala is not eligible to be POTUS, and neither is Nikki Haley. If fact, they shouldn't even be considered US citizens, let alone Natural Born Citizens.

People use the 14th amendment to say that it matters WHERE a person was born, but that only applied to the slaves who had been freed by the 13th amendment.

Why would the 14th amendment have even been written the way it was in 1868, if it wasn't in direct response to the freed slaves?

Prior to 1868, it was understood that a person was a citizen if their parents were citizens, or they were an immigrant who became a naturalized citizen. It didn't matter WHERE the person was born. If a woman, who is a US citizen gives birth outside of the US, her child is still considered to be a US citizen even if the child was not physically born on US soil.

The SCOTUS is going to have to get involved in this because the Democrats have been misusing this notion that US citizenship is based on location of birth, to pad the numbers of citizens in their favor.

I have a friend who died of pneumonia and he was only in the hospital for a couple of weeks before he died.
