I am pretty certain this court date was set up weeks ago.
I think the Trump's could have selected a day after this.
It's a horrible thing to miss the funeral, if you all are into them. Why would they select a date when there was already a have to appear court date?
I am not into funerals. We usually have someone say something at the grave site and we pay respects. Even I would not plan a grave site event when I already knew there was something I could not get out of.
