Former Ukrainian prosecutor who accused Bidens of corruption could be assassinated – ex-MP

Viktor Shokin has dirt on the US president’s family and Kiev is using him as a bargaining chip, Andrey Derkach has claimed

The former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Viktor Shokin, who was famously sacked by then-President Pyotr Poroshenko under pressure from US President Joe Biden,is being used by the current government in Kiev as a bargaining chip with Washington, controversial former MP Andrey Derkach has claimed in an interview.

Biden had Poroshenko sack Shokin in 2016, when he was vice president in the Obama administration, threatening to withhold a $1 billion loan unless his demands were met. The now-incumbent US president claimed that the Ukrainian prosecutor was corrupt, but also bragged about getting rid of the man. Critics of Biden have alleged that he used his office to derail an investigation into the gas firm Burisma, which infamously retained his son Hunter on a well-paid board position during his father’s tenure as Obama’s VP.

Derkach made his explosive claims in an interview recorded in Minsk, Belarus, with Italian-US journalist Simona Mangiante, published on Wednesday on X (formerly Twitter).

“Shokin is now a hostage on Ukrainian territory. As far as I know, he is not allowed to leave Ukraine. He is under the total control of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU),” he claimed.

President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the US side, and President Vladimir Zelensky and his chief-of-staff Andrey Yermak on the Ukrainian side, are interested in information possessed by Shokin, according to Derkach.

He claimed that last October Shokin had contacts with two attorneys “working with the US Congress,” Jake Greenberg and Clark Abourisk. The SBU “recorded those conversations, where Shokin told the Congress aboutreal criminal acts of Blinken and Biden, and about the corruption of the Biden family.”

The former official said he’d been tipped off about the surveillance by sources inside the SBU. Derkach is an intelligence officer by background and served in the Ukrainian agency before being elected to parliament.

He claimed that his sources had told him that“the question of liquidating Mr Shokin on the territory of Ukraine is under consideration.”He urged the US Congress to ensure the man’s safety and extraction from his home country.

Derkach spoke in Russian throughout the hour-long interview and touched on a number of sensitive aspects of US-Ukraine relations, including those he’d been personally involved in.

He was the official that published in 2020 what he claimed to be recordings of conversations that Biden and Poroshenko had in 2015-2016. In the interview this week he claimed that at the time he wasacting with the blessing of Zelensky's office, which was seeking to discredit the former president.

Washington branded Derkach a Russian agent in 2022 and indicted him for allegedly interfering in the 2020 US presidential elections. Last year, Ukraine accused him of treason, also claiming he was working for Moscow. Zelensky stripped him of his Ukrainian citizenship in January 2023.

Derkach has denied the accusations and claims in the interview that the Ukrainian charges against him were brought after Kiev failed to dispose of him by other means on adirect request from Antony Blinken.

The DNC Is Engaged In ‘Unlawful Voter Suppression’ Ahead Of Primaries, New Hampshire AG Says By: Shawn Fleetwood January 10, 2024

The office of New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella issued a cease-and-desist order to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Monday after the committee purportedly violated the state’s voter suppression laws.

On Jan. 5, the co-chairs of the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee submitted a letter to the New Hampshire Democratic Party (NHDP) demanding the state party comply withDNC guidance to “take steps to educate the public that January 23rd”— the date set for the jurisdiction’s Democrat presidential primary — “is a non-binding presidential preference event and is meaningless and the NHDP and presidential candidates should take all steps possible not to participate.”

The memo came nearly a year after the DNC passed a new early presidential primary calendar for 2024. The updated calendar, supported by President Biden, sought to make South Carolina the first state on the Democrat presidential primary schedule. While Iowa and New Hampshire, respectively, have historically marked the first electoral contests in the presidential primary process for both major political parties, the DNC’s decision to schedule South Carolina first was, as NBC News described, due to Iowa’s caucuses being viewed as “too white and too undemocratic.”

Despite state law mandating New Hampshire host a presidential primary “7 days or more immediately preceding the date on which any other state shall hold a similar election,” the DNC told the NHDP that the Jan. 23 primary scheduled by the New Hampshire secretary of state “cannot be used as the first determining stage of the state’s delegate selection process and is considered detrimental.”

The guidance further informed the state party that no “delegates or alternates shall be apportioned” and no “scheduling of events related to the selection of delegates or alternates in New Hampshire may be” based on the Jan. 23 election.

In his cease-and-desist order to the DNC, Assistant Attorney General Brendan O’Donnellunderscored how “[f]alsely telling New Hampshire voters that a New Hampshire election is ‘meaningless’ violates New Hampshire voter suppression laws,” and further ordered the organization to stop engaging in such “unlawful” conduct.

“Regardless of whether the DNC refuses to award delegates to the party’s national convention based on the results of the January 23, 2024, New Hampshire [D]emocratic Presidential Primary Election, that election is not ‘meaningless.’Your statements to the contrary are false, deceptive, and misleading,” O’Donnell wrote. “Telling the public or any person qualified to register to vote or vote in New Hampshire that the [aforementioned election] is ‘meaningless,’ or soliciting NHDP or any other party to make such statements, constitutes an attempt to prevent or deter another person from voting or registering to vote based on fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or spurious grounds or information.”

O’Donnell further warned the DNC that he reserved the right to pursue further legal action.

It’s worth mentioning that theDNC’s decision to hold South Carolina’s primary before the party’s Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary is designed to benefit Biden. During the 2020 Democrat presidential primary cycle, the Delaware Democrat lost both Iowa and New Hampshire, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively. It was his dominating victory in South Carolina’s primary that put Biden on track to become Democrats’ 2020 presidential nominee.

Democrats’ ‘Sacred Cause’ Isn’t Democracy, It’s Power

While issuing remarks this past weekend at Valley Forge to commemorate the third anniversary of the Jan 6. Capitol kerfuffle, President Biden asked the public, “Is democracy still America’s sacred cause?”

It’s ironic, considering this question came moments after Biden went on about the sacrifices made by Gen. George Washington and the Continental Army, comparing himself to the nation’s first president and his Republican predecessor, former President Donald Trump, to a corrupt, power-obsessed King George III.

Set aside the heresy of our devout Catholic leader,the simple fact of the matter is that “democracy” never was, and still isn’t, “our sacred cause.”Of course, one could wax poetic about apples of gold and frames of silver to try to discern what “our sacred cause” might be, but that’s neither here nor there. The reality is that expansive appeals to national democracy have been made for decades to undermine local authority and consolidate power in an unaccountable bureaucratic managerial apparatus.

The bastardized quasi-democracy in which we currently find ourselves is the result of this. Sure, there are technically different branches of government that technically perform different functions, but at the federal level, the only thing that actually makes things happen is the bureaucracy. So now, the nation lives and dies at the outcome of a vote because the results determine just how much power will be relegated to the administrative apparatus and with how much impunity it will be allowed to operate.

Ultimately, Democrats’ “sacred cause” is nothing less than their complete consolidation of institutional power.

This is, in large part, why political messaging has become so manic over the last decade and why stooges like Aaron Rupar uncritically amplified Biden’s faux-patriotic and onanistic attacks on Fox News.

“When the attack on Jan. 6 happened, there was no doubt about the truth. At the time, even Republican members of Congress and Fox News commentators publicly and privately condemned the attack. … Now those same people have changed their tune. … We’ll defend the truth,” an unusually lively, potentially stimulant-fueled Biden proclaimed while pledging to defend democracy.

It just so happens that effectively everything the public was told about Jan. 6 — much like the Russia hoax, the Hunter Biden laptop, and Biden’s involvement with his family’s overseas business dealings — was a lie parroted by tattletale accomplice media outlets like MSNBC and CNN. Dissent online to any of the regime’s preferred narratives regarding the above was summarily crushed by the fascistic joint efforts of Big Tech and the administrative apparatus. It wasn’t until Elon Musk acquired Twitter that Americans could once more speak somewhat freely about this en masse.

Ignore how the intelligence apparatus worked to discredit the Hunter Biden laptop story and deliberately undermined Trump with bogus intel in the Russia-collusion conspiracy theory. Don’t worry about the disproportionate and dishonest response to Jan. 6. If you’re concerned about the administrative apparatus conspiring with Big Tech to suppress information, go touch grass.

What matters is “democracy.”

The left’s constant subversion and erosion of democratic norms don’t matter.Because “democracy” just means “power.” The former is a pleasant-sounding means to a gruesome end.
