UK action against Houthis 'imminent' - report
We're awaiting news from tonight's cabinet call hosted by the prime minister inside Downing Street, but potential military action against Houthi rebels is believed to be the topic of discussion.
The strikes would be carried out alongside the US in response to attacks against commercial shipping lanes in the Red Sea.
According to The Times, the UK-US response is "imminent".
The newspaper says Rishi Sunak has briefed his cabinet ministers on the planned strikes, which will target Houthi military positions in Yemen.
They will take place on Thursday night, The Times adds.
Earlier, our deputy political editor Sam Coates said action could come "within hours" (see 19.59 post).
