Barbra Streisand Allegedly Used $200K in Small Business Pandemic Cash to Pay Gardener at Her Mansion

Far left actress Barbra Streisand has been accused of using $200,000 in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, intended to help small businesses, to pay the groundskeeper at her swanky $20 million mansion.

According to a New York Post investigation Streisand, with an estimated net worth of $430 million, received PPP loans through the star’s Barwood Films Ltd. in 2020 and 2021. The loans were ultimately written off by the federal government.

Among the workers paid through Barwood Films in 2020 and 2021 was a groundskeeper responsible for the gardens at her $20 million Malibu clifftop home — where the business is registered — and an “executive support” employee.

Her spokesman claimed Streisand’s gardener had not been paid with taxpayer funds. The Post has confirmed that the groundskeeper was employed by Barwood Films when it took public money to make payroll.

Ironically, six days after Barwood Films Ltd. was approved for $103,662 for six workers, Streisand rage-tweeted President Donald Trump for his handling of the COVID crisis, saying the money he had spent on a border wall should be spent on “testing, ventilators, and personal protective equipment for our health care professionals.”

British Troops In Ukraine Would Be 'Declaration Of War' Risking Nuclear Response: Medvedev

Reacting to the 'unprecedented' military aid package just reached between Kiev and the United Kingdom, and with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in the Ukrainian capital, the Kremlin has issued an urgent warning saying that any deployment of British troops to Ukraine as a "declaration of war."

The alarming and blistering words came from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev upon Sunak's arrival in Kiev for the unveiling of the $3+ billion defense aid package. The new security agreement has outraged Moscow.

While there's been nothing in the official security deal which indicates UK troop deployment inside the war-ravaged country, apparently things like deepened intelligence-sharing has been enough to raise Kremlin suspicions of Western 'boots in the ground' escalation.

The deal "formalizes a range of support the UK has been and will continue to provide for Ukraine’s security, including intelligence sharing, cyber security, medical and military training, and defense industrial cooperation," Downing Street had announced.

Medvedev posted his response to social media. Importantly, he currently serves as deputy chair of the Russian Security Council, and he said:

"What does this mean? It means only one thing – they risk running into the action of paragraph 19 of the fundamentals of Russia's state policy in the field of nuclear deterrence," Medvedev wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

"This should be remembered," Medvedev said.

According to more of the context from Reuters, he said that "some Ukrainian military commanders were considering hitting missile launch sites inside Russia with Western-supplied long-range missiles."

The follows the Russian Defense Ministry having previously claimed UK troops already have a presence on the ground in Ukraine, certainly at least in an 'advisory' role.

While ultimately only President Putin is the final decision-maker on deployment of Russian nukes, Medvedev's threat was ominous and gained the West's attention at a moment of multiple conflict flashpoints across the globe chiefly because of the following:

Paragraph nineteen of Russia's 2020 nuclear doctrine sets out the conditions under which a Russian president would consider using a nuclear weapon: broadly as a response to an attack using nuclear or other weapons of mass destruction, or to the use of conventional weapons against Russia "when the very existence of the state is put under threat."

Medvedev made specific mention of point "g" of paragraph nineteen which deals with the nuclear response to a conventional weapons attack.

123 people arrested in human trafficking sting in Florida, including a nurse and teacher

Ahuman trafficking operation in Florida carried out over the past three months has led to the arrest of 123 people. Among those arrested include a spiritual leader, a nurse, and a teacher, according to WTVT.

The name of the three-month operation was known as Operation Renewed Hope, carried out by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office's Human Trafficking Squad. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said detectives carried out several undercover streetwalker and hotel/motel operations.

The operation also included online chats. During the virtual chats, detectives posed as minors available for sex. Chronister also mentioned that detectives posed as the guardians of minors who were available for sex to lure predators.

Chronister said he decided to conduct the operation during the holidays when children would be out of school and more present online, according to the report.

"I wanted to ensure that our children would be protected and those wanting to pay for sex and wanting to fuel the sex trade were not getting a free pass because of the holidays," Chronister said.

After the authorities arrested 123 people who were charged with human trafficking-related crimes, Chronister said that a basketball coach, a spiritual teacher, and a nurse were involved.

"These are individuals who betrayed our trust," he said.

"These suspects know what they are doing is wrong. Even a few of them that were arrested, and we’re seeing a trend – they drop their cell phones, they take their cell phones somewhere else before they show up to have sex with this young child because they don’t want their wife to be able to track where they are at," Sheriff Chronister said. "They know what they are doing is wrong."

Fox News Digital reported that since the Human Trafficking Squad was launched, it has successfully arrested 604 individuals and charged 36 with trafficking-related crimes.

"What I find even more impressive is the fact this squad has rescued 28 victims from the grips of human trafficking," Chronister said. "That is 28 people whose lives were saved thanks to the hard work and dedication of the men and women on this team."

Chronister went on to say that those involved know they are in the wrong. Oftentimes, the men leave their cellphones behind before showing up to have sex with a minor so that their wife does not know where they are, per the report.

Ru Paul’s Drag Queen Convention Opens in London… Children of All Ages Invited

Nearly 200 drag queens gathered in London on Saturday for the start of a two-day convention put on by American drag queen television personality Ru Paul.

The gathering in London, which was the third annual convention for fans of Ru Paul’s show Drag Race, saw around 200 drag queens parade around the ExCel exhibition centre in London.

Although not in attendance this year, Ru Paul described the event as “the most inclusive party on earth – a safe place to laugh, dance and celebrate every colour of the rainbow.

The “LGBT & Identity Producer” for the publicly-funded BBC, Josh Parry said that the event was a “world of colour”.

In addition to meet and greets and shopping stalls, the event also will feature a swath of events including the controversial ‘Drag Queen Story Time’.

The event’s website said that children of any age are welcome to attend DragCon UK, and even said that kids under the age of eight years old would have free admittance if accompanied by an adult with a ticket.

Former Finnish Interior Minister Faces Another Trial Over Posting Bible Verses, Despite Acquittal

Senior Finnish politician Päivi Räsänen is facing being hauled through the courts again over “homophobic” Tweets and writings going back 20 years, despite having been acquitted in the case twice already.

The Finnish Public Prosecutor is appealing a November 2023 court decision that Päivi Räsänen, a long-serving member of Parliament, party leader, and former national interior minister was exercising free speech when she quoted the bible and discussed homosexuality on several occasions from 2004 to 2019. Räsänen is the former leader of the Finnish Christian Democrats Party and holds orthodox views on the issue, having described homosexuality as a “disorder of psychosexual development” in the past and quoted verses from St. Paul’s letter to the Romans on Instagram.

The District Court of Helsinki has already acquitted Räsänen unanimously on the hate speech charges in 2022, which were filed under the part of Finland’s criminal code which deals with “war crimes and crimes against humanity”, ruling “it is not for the district court to interpret biblical concepts”. This was appealed, taking it to the Helsinki Court of Appeal which again dismissed the case unanimously, and on the same grounds, in November of last year.

The Public Prosecutor is now pushing the matter up to the Supreme Court, reports Finnish public broadcaster YLE, claiming it wants to settle the relationship “between freedom of religion and freedom of speech and the prohibition of discrimination, and when expressions must be considered as punishable hate speech”. The prosecutor is calling for hefty fines and censorship of Räsänen’s writings.

The fresh prosecution is apparently going ahead despite Räsänen’s Christian Democrats Party now being in government, as part of the new Finnish right-wing coalition.

The Alliance Defending Freedom International (ADF), which has supported Räsänen, has called the dogged determination of the prosecutor to get a conviction out of Räsänen concerning and suggested the prosecutor was using the endless court cases as a means to punish Räsänen, even if they never end in a sentence.

Paul Coleman, Executive Director of ADF, said of the case: “Dragging people through the courts for years, subjecting them to hour-long police interrogations, and wasting taxpayer money in order to police people’s deeply held beliefs has no place in a democratic society. As is so often the case in ‘hate speech’ trials, the process has become the punishment.”

Räsänen herself remains bullish, vowing to fight and welcoming the chance to get another ruling in her favour in the highest court of the land, which would set a strong precedent in favour of free speech.

She is reported to have said: “After my full exoneration in two courts, I’m not afraid of a hearing before the Supreme Court. Even though I am fully aware that every trial carries risks, an acquittal from the Supreme Court would set an even stronger positive precedent for everyone’s right to free speech and religion. And if the Court decided to overturn the lower courts’ acquittals, I am ready to defend freedom of speech and religion as far as the European Court of Human rights, if necessary”.

Turkey Launches Airstrikes in Iraq and Syria After Deadly Attack on Military Base

Turkey carried out airstrikes targeting Kurdish militants in neighboring Iraq and Syria on Saturday, the Turkish Defense Ministry said. This comes a day after an attack on a Turkish military base in Iraq killed nine Turkish soldiers.

Turkey often launches strikes against targets in Syria and Iraq it believes to be affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, a banned Kurdish separatist group that has waged insurgency against Turkey since the 1980s.

The defense ministry said aircraft struck targets in Metina, Hakurk, Gara and Qandil in north Iraq, but didn’t specify areas in Syria. It said fighter jets destroyed caves, bunkers, shelters and oil facilities “to eliminate terrorist attacks against our people and security forces … and to ensure our border security.” The statement added “many” militants were “neutralized” in the strikes.

On Friday night, attackers attempted to infiltrate a military base in northern Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdish region, killing five soldiers. Four others died later of critical injuries. The Turkish Defense Ministry said 15 militants were also killed.

There was no immediate comment from the PKK, the government in Baghdad or the Kurdish region’s administration.

Turkey launched Operation Claw-Lock in northern Iraq in April 2022, during which it established several bases in Duhok Governorate. Baghdad has repeatedly protested the presence of Turkish troops and called for their withdrawal.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed his condolences for the deaths of the Turkish soldiers on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

“We will fight to the end against the PKK terrorist organization within and outside our borders,” he wrote.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was to hold a security meeting in Istanbul later Saturday, Fahrettin Altun, the president’s communications director, wrote on X.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced police had detained 113 people suspected of ties to the PKK following raids across 32 Turkish provinces.

He added that four people were arrested after police identified 60 social media accounts that “praised the separatist terrorist organization for provocative purposes” or had spread misleading information.

Two Lawsuits Filed in Illinois Seeking to Remove Joe Biden from Ballot, Alleges ‘Aid or Comfort to Enemies’ Through Open Border Policies Under 14th Amendment

In an unprecedented legal challenge, four Republican plaintiffs have filed a lawsuit in the state of Illinois aiming to disqualify President Joe Biden from appearing on the state’s ballot for the upcoming presidential election.

The lawsuit alleges that the President’s immigration and border policies have given “aid or comfort to enemies,” which is a violation of the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution.

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment states:

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Former Congressional Candidate Jack Lombardi II announced this new development through X.

“In Illinois, a lawsuit was filed against Candidate Joe Biden by Terry Newsome and others to remove Biden from the Ballot.

The lawsuit alleges that under the 14th Amendment, Joe Biden has “given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof” through his open border polices.”

Terry Newsome, Illinois Chapter President Parents Involved in Education, wrote, “I along with 3 other Republicans filed to keep Biden off the Illinois ballot for providing aid and comfort to our enemies.”

Additional plaintiffs in the case include Shane Bouvet, Tim Conrad, and Pegge Hubbard.

According to the lawsuit:

Overtly beginning January 20, 2021, Joseph Biden has intentionally declined to enforce laws of the United States, in particular relation to the security of our country’s border. Exhibit A, BIDEN ADMINISTRATION ACTIONS THAT HAVE UNDERMINED BORDER SECURITY AND ENCOURAGED ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, outlines 64 distinct actions taken by, at the direction, or with the approval of Biden. These actions have provided aid or comfort to the enemies of the United States contrary to Sec. 3.

Among the actions listed are not just policy decisions but active, intentional acts that are contrary to the laws of the United States, including but not limited to:

Illegal diversion of funds allocated for border wall

Flouting court orders declaring DACA illegal

Guidance for officers deployed to Israel appears to show the U.S. military providing intelligence for airstrikes in Gaza.

THE information used to conduct airstrikes and fire long-range artillery weapons — has played a central role in Israel’s siege of Gaza. A document obtained through the Freedom of Information Act suggests that the U.S. Air Force sent officers specializing in this exact form of intelligence to Israel in late November.

Since the start of Israel’s bombardment in retaliation for Hamas’s strike on October 7, Israel has dropped more than 29,000 bombs on the tiny Gaza Strip, according to a U.S. intelligence reportOpens in a new tab last month. And for the first timeOpens in a new tab in U.S. history, the Biden administration has been flying surveillance drone missions over Gaza since at least early November, ostensibly for hostage recoveryOpens in a new tab by special forces. At the time the drones were revealed, U.S. Gen. Pat Ryder insistedOpens in a new tab that the special operations forces deployed to Israel to advise on hostage rescue were “not participating in [Israel Defense Forces] target development.”

“I’ve directed my team to share intelligence and deploy additional experts from across the United States government to consult with and advise the Israeli counterparts on hostage recovery efforts,” saidOpens in a new tab President Joe Biden three days after the Hamas attack.

But several weeks later, on November 21, the U.S. Air Force issued deployment guidelinesOpens in a new tab for officers, including intelligence engagement officers, headed to Israel. Experts say that a team of targeting officers like this would be used to provide satellite intelligence to the Israelis for the purpose of offensive targeting.

“They’re probably targeting people, targeting officers,” Lawrence Cline, who served as an intelligence engagement officer in Iraq before retirementOpens in a new tab, told The Intercept. Targeting intelligence refers to the identification and characterization of enemy activities including missile and artillery launches, location of leadership and command and control centers, and key facilities. “What I can see is we’ve got a lot of global assets in terms of satellites and the like and the Israelis have a lot in terms of more localized radar coverage.”

The deployment guidelines were issued by the Pentagon’s Air Force component command for the Middle East, Air Forces Central, on November 21. The document provides deployment instructions to air personnel sent to the country, including an “Air Defense Liaison Team” as well as “airmen assigned as the Intelligence Engagement Officer (IEO).”

Intelligence engagement officers, Cline explained, coordinate intelligence between the U.S. and partner militaries. When deployed in Iraq, Cline, who now works as an instructor for the Defense Department Counterterrorism Fellowship Program, recalled that he and other IEOs comprised a small team who spent “probably three quarters of our time working with the Iraqis, the other quarter checking in with headquarters,” adding that “it was sort of half and half a liaison and advising.”

Asked about the airmen’s mission, the Defense Intelligence Agency referred questions to the Air Forces Central, which did not respond to a request for comment. Neither the Office of the Secretary of Defense nor Central Command responded to requests for comment.

He spoke about the corridor during a Saturday night press conference, hours after The Wall Street Journal reported that the IDF was planning a military operation near Egypt’s border with Gaza to seize control of that corridor.

Israel had controlled the small 14-kilometer corridor under terms set out by the 1979 peace treaty with Egypt, but it left that buffer zone area when it withdrew from Gaza in 2005.

Meta allows cartels to advertise human smuggling services on Facebook: report

"3 tries to get to the United States for $10k."

On Friday, former acting director of the United States National Intelligence, Richard Grenell, revealed that Facebook is not stopping Guatemalan coyotes from advertising their services to bring illegal immigrants to the United States.

In a post on X, Grenell said, "I’ve learned in Guatemala that coyotes are openly advertising on @facebook - 3 tries to get to the United States for $10k." He added, "Biden and Zuckerberg don’t care."

Grenell was in Guatemala to meet with Guatemala's President, Alejandro Giammattei, where they discussed ways to "help stem the flow of illegal immigrants into the US." Vice President Kamala Harris had been tasked with the job of figuring out the root causes of migration in the northern triangle countries.

In a separate post, Grenell said the Biden administration is using the State Department to "intimidate Guatemalans from criticizing Left-wing policies." He noted that "What the Biden team is doing to conservatives in America is exactly what they are doing overseas - thru [sic] the State Department’s INL and WHA leadership,"

"It’s unAmerican and just may be illegal," Grenell said before calling for an investigation.

Social media has been a place for cartels to advertise their services for a while. In July, investigative journalist Tayler Hansen revealed that smugglers were using TikTok to recruit drivers. One of the posts had a video that showed the process of getting past border control, the discussion during the operation, and then the payments afterward. The video has words over the screen that read, "I need drivers based in Texas. Only serious enquires. Good pay: $10-20K USD in 3 hours.
