My experience was horrible. I would get there at 5am and I an an older woman in her 60's would run the kitchen. She could run that place by herself and should have been manager. She taught me how to do things (was my first job) and told me I was doing great. The manager however, who was horribly stupid and wouldn't come in until hours later told me I did everything wrong and was constantly on my case. She even bitched at me for helping others when I had nothing to do. One thing I remember clearly is her telling me I cooked the eggs wrong. I cooked them exactly how I was taught and she was the only one who said it was wrong. Then the franchise rep came in and told me I was doing great and cooked the eggs perfect. That pissed the manager off at me even more. When the older lady decided to leave, I was out of there.
I don't know, it seems like McDonalds is a common first job. It was just the place to apply.

I can't answer about where it was derived from, but I can say I've never understood why some are so obsessed with the house of David, when Jesus said He was off to build a house for us. David may lie down in green pastures, but all the green grass is burned up.
