House Republicans re-subpoena Hunter Biden to lockdown his promise to give close-door testimony

Hunter Biden's attorney argued that the initial subpoenas were legally invalid.

The chairmen of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees sent a letter earlier this weekend to Hunter Biden's legal team saying they will re-file subpoenas for Biden to give closed-door testimony but made clear they consider their original request to be adequate.

They sent the letter Sunday after Biden attorney Abbe Lowell argued earlier this months the subpoenas were legally invalid.

"As an accommodation to Mr. Biden and at your request, we are prepared to issue subpoenas compelling Mr. Biden’s appearance at a deposition on a new date in the coming weeks,” Oversight Chairman James Comer and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan wrote in a letter Lowell.

"The issuance of these subpoenas does not in any way suggest or imply that the Committees believe the assertions in your January 12 letter to have any merit."

DANGEROUS: FAA Promotes Diversity Over Safety-Wants to Hire People With “Severe Intellectual” and “Psychiatric” Disabilities

The Federal Aviation Administration is actively recruiting workers who suffer “severe intellectual” disabilities, psychiatric problems and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency’s website.

“Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring,” the FAA’s website states. “They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism.”

The initiative is part of the FAA’s “Diversity and Inclusion” hiring plan, which claims “diversity is integral to achieving FAA’s mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel across our nation and beyond.” The FAA’s website shows the agency’s guidelines on diversity hiring were last updated on March 23, 2022.

The FAA’s oversight is the Department of Transportation, currently headed by Pete Buttigieg.

The FAA and airlines are under increased scrutiny after Alaska flight 1282 after a piece of the plane broke off mid-flight forcing an emergency landing.

Pilot becomes first active-duty Air Force officer to be crowned Miss America

Active-duty Air Force officer Madison Marsh was crowned Miss America on Sunday night.

Marsh won the title of Miss Colorado last year.

"Congratulations to our very own #Airman, 2nd Lt. Madison Marsh, aka Miss Colorado — who was just crowned @MissAmerica 2024! Marsh is the first active duty service member to ever win the title," the U.S. Air Force wrote on the social media platform, X.

Miss Texas was awarded first runner-up.
