My best guess was that there was a massive (but not massive enough!) coordinated effort by Democrats who changed their party affiliations in order to caucus.
They voted in large part for DeSantis in anticipation of the eligibility challenges that would be present for Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy, as neither are "Natural born citizens".
Any way to find out how many Democrats changed their party affiliation recently and Iowa?
