Barbara Streisand’s Memoir Is A HUGE Flop

The Streisand Effect Redefined

Cassie Cole

Barbra Streisand's latest memoir, released in November 2024, is experiencing a significant decline in sales, with only 212,000 copies sold despite her persistent efforts to promote it.

To provide perspective, other celebrity memoirs, like Britney Spears', have surpassed the two-million mark in sales since its release in October 2024.

From Breitbart:

Barbra Streisand’s My Name Is Barbra, which retails at $47, has sold about 212,000 copiessince its release on November 7, according to a report from Publishers Weekly. That puts it way out of the publication’s top 25 bestsellers for the year.

Prince Harry’s memoir Spare has sold 1.2 million copies, though it was released in January of last year. However, Britney Spears’ The Woman in Me was released less than a month before Streisand’s and has sold 908,000 copies.

The disappointing sales results for Streisand’s book comes after the star embarked on an unprecedented media tour to promote the volume.

The 81-year-old Hollywood star sat down with numerous outlets and even allowed journalists into her palatial Malibu estate, including her underground shopping mall.

It's not too surprising that this tanked, I mean, who would actually pay almost $50 nowadays for a Streisand memoir?

(I hope that picture was not on the cover!)

Fani Willis Is in Full Panic Mode

Bonchie11:09 AM on Jan 15, 2024

As RedState reported, Fani Willis finally responded to the allegations that she hired the man she was having an affair with to be a special counsel in her office. For some reason, she decided to give her remarks in front of a black church congregation. In doing so, she interspersed claims of racial persecution with a total disregard for her moral and professional failures.

In other words, she's in full panic mode.

WILLIS: God, why don't they look at themselves and just be honest? I mean, they can't keep it a hundred with themselves? Why are they surprised that a diverse team I assembled, your child, can accomplish extraordinary things?God, wasn't it them who attacked this lawyer of impeccable credentials?(who would that be?)

Nothing makes me cringe more than when apolitician who has obviously engaged in immoral acts starts using God as a propto defend their behavior. That is exactly what Willis is doing. Instead of taking responsibility for the fact that she allegedly had an affair and then hired her "lover" to be a special counsel in a completely improper and unethical fashion, she's citing God and playing the victim.

It'd be different if Willis was apologetic, or in a religious context, repentant. She hasn't shown an ounce of contrition, though. Instead, she's doing what Democrat politicians who aren't white always do: Claim racism.

Willis pointed out during her speech that the other two prosecutors assigned to the case,Anna Green Cross and John Floyd, both are white, and noted that allegations have only emerged targeting the two prominent black members of the prosecution — her and Wade.

“Isn’t it them playing the race card when they constantly think I need someone from some other jurisdiction in some other state to tell me how to do a job I’ve been doing almost 30 years?” she asked.

Green Cross and John Floyd, the other special counsels, are indeed white. They also didn't have an affair with Willis, which is the entire crux of the matter. So while the audience she was speaking to nodded along, I don't think any fair-minded person would agree with her framing.

But according to Willis' alternate reality, if only she were white, no one would care that she hired her boy-toy to a high-level professional role while prosecuting the former President of the United States. Her evidence for that? She provides nonebecause there is none. There is no reason to think race has anything to do with the criticisms being levied at her.

In fact, there may be reason to believe that her race has helped her avoid scrutiny, which is what we saw with former Harvard President Claudine Gay. It was only after multiple allegations of plagiarism were levied in addition to her antisemitism scandal that she was finally forced out. That happened long after a white university president who did the same thing in the same hearing had already resigned.

Think about how arrogant Willis had to be to put herself in this position. When you decide to try to throw a former president in jail on specious charges, you better have your own house in order. That is not the time to start mixing your affairs with work, yet Willis did it anyway. I can only assume she felt she'd get away with it, and perhaps she will. She's panicking, though, and it's obvious.

(Anons, time to dig on Green Cross and John FloydWho names their child Green?)

Court won’t rehear case that let special counsel comb Trump Twitter account

Ryan King

A federal appeals court spurned a request Tuesday to reconsider its ruling giving special counsel Jack Smith’s team access to former President Donald Trump’s X account, including his direct messages.

X, formerly Twitter, had sought to block prosecutors from obtaining that information, but a three-judge panel rejected that request back in July.

The company then pleaded with the full US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit to rehear the matter, which the court declined to do Tuesday.

“Upon consideration of appellant’s petition for rehearing en banc, the response thereto, the amicus curiae brief filed by Electronic Frontier Foundation in support of rehearing en banc, and the absence of a request by any member of the court for a vote, it is ordered that the petition be denied,” the court wrote.

The four conservative judges on the 11-member bench indicated they would have granted the en banc review.

“Smith directed a search warrant at Twitter and obtained a nondisclosure order that prevented Twitter from informing President Trump about the search,” the dissenting judges wrote.

“The district court and this court permitted this arrangement without any consideration of the consequential executive privilege issues raised by this unprecedented search.”

Smith’s team had lodged a subpoena against X in January of last year for records stemming from Trump’s account on the platform.

Prosecutors sought the material to buttress the four-count 2020 election interference case pendingagainst the 77-year-old.

X was slapped with at least $350,000 in fines for resisting the subpoena, court documents revealed. The company cried foul that it couldn’t apprise Trump of the situation.

X unsuccessfully argued before the three-judge panel that prohibiting it from notifying their user about a search warrant ran afoul of the First Amendment.

Ultimately, the company forked over the information to prosecutors, according to court records.

Before the three-judge panel took the case, a lower court judge determined that disclosing the warrant would give Trump an “opportunity to destroy evidence, change patterns of behavior, [or] notify confederates.” (Are you kidding?)

Material obtained from Trump’s largely dormant account on the platform includes location data, draft posts, searches, and more.

One of the judges noted that the trove of data “included 32 direct messages sent by President Trump.”

Once a serial Twitter poster, Trump has since used Truth Social as his preferred platform to unleash his various tirades and other thoughts.

The 45th president had been booted from X in the aftermath of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, but was allowed to return after Tesla tycoon Elon Musk took over.

Trump has only made one post on X since being freed from the doghouse — featuring his now-infamous mugshot in a Georgia criminal case.

Trump has ardently denied wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the four-count indictment, as with all other criminal cases against him.

At the moment, his legal team is battling to get the criminal indictment tossed out on the grounds of presidential immunity.

(Everything the court allows on Trump will be applied to all living and probably dead ex presidents)

Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade steps out armed with handgun after bombshell Fani Willis affair allegations — and didn’t deny tryst

Story by Jack Morphet, Megan Palin

Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor leading the election interference case against Donald Trump in Georgia, did not deny having an affair with his boss, Fani Willis when he was spotted Thursday for the first time since the bombshell allegations came to light.

Wade, who appeared to be openly carrying a handgun, refused to respond — but also didn’t issue a denial — when asked by The Post if he had spent any of the $654,000 he had earned working on the Trump case to take Willis on lavish trips.

Willis is the Fulton County District Attorney who brought election interference charges against the former president and 18 co-defendants.

She hired Wade, her alleged secret lover and a private attorney with the Atlanta-based Wade & Campbell Firm, to oversee the case in late 2021.

The special prosecutor arrived at his law office outside Atlanta, Georiga in a silver Audi A8 L 4.2 Quattro — valued new at more than $100,000 — around 1.45 p.m. on Thursday.

Wearing a trendy cobalt suit, he walked from the luxury car towards the office and declined to comment on the alleged affair.

Nathan Wade was spotted outside his law office on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday afternoon. Ben Hendren for NY Post

“No,” he snapped when asked if he would answer any questions.

Moments later, Wade left the building and appeared to be holding a gun in one hand.

Georgia is an open carry state even without a permit and The Post does not suggest Wade was involved in any wrongdoing.

The co-prosecutors were accused of having an “improper” and “clandestine” relationship in a stunning motion filed Monday by Michael Roman, one of Trump’s 18 co-defendants in Willis’ Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) probe.

The court filing alleged without evidence that Wade paid for lavish vacations with Willis to Florida, Napa Valley and the Caribbean, using the legal fees he’s been paid by the Fulton County DA’s office.

The DA appears to have “solely authorized” his compensation, which reached almost $700,000 in 2021-2022 alone, according to the motion and county records.

“Willis and Wade have engaged in a personal relationship both before and after Willis appointed Wade as the special prosecutor in the instant case,” the motion states.

“Willis and Wade were romantically involved prior to Willis awarding a contract for legal services with Wade. It is not entirely clear when the relationship began, but it began while Wade was married.”

Wade filed for divorce from his wife, Joycelyn, in November 2021 after 26 years of marriage, according to records — the same month he started working with the Fulton County DA’s office.

The pair share two adult children together.

The lawyer landed the contract, which started on November 1, 2021, despite having no experience prosecuting a complex RICO Act case like the one against Trump and his associates.

The court filing said the payments made to Wade from Fulton County and his subsequent purchase of vacations with Willis could amount to honest services fraud, a federal crime in which a vendor gives kickbacks to an employer.

The district attorney “personally benefitted from an undisclosed conflict of interest”, it continued.

It is also possible this could be prosecuted under the federal racketeering statute, the motion said.

Roman is facing seven charges related to the alleged interference in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election, including a violation of the Georgia RICO Act, conspiracy to impersonate a public officer, conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree, and conspiracy to commit false statements and writing.
