>Because you can register whatever you want

>Who has the authority to monitor your voting choices?

These people are coordinating online to disrupt fair/free elections by knowingly and intentionally casting faithless votes in the republican primary and then switching back to Dems after the fact. I realize you can't catch everyone doing it, but certainly the ones bragging about their meddling should be held accountable no?

>The double edge sword here is they won't then be able to vote in their own primaries.

They don't care about their own primaries though, especially if they can oust Trump by fuckery.

This is a "free country" too, does that mean we should be lawless? The fuck are you people on about?

Having/protecting "Free elections" doesn't mean they should be susceptible to OPEN exploitation just for the sake of "freedom", that isn't how our country and our freedoms work. There are always moral and legal guidelines that are there to ensure those freedoms aren't obstructing the freedoms of others (which is what fucking with the election via meddling is)

It depends on the state I believe.

Iowa for example allowed same day registration, and there were several liberal articles being circulated floating the idea of registering as republicans and voting for Haley in the primaries and then changing the registration back

The distinction you are making here is arbitrary and pointless. We are a country of laws, and our elections likewise are guided by law. The use of "free" in front of country or election doesn't negate those laws or suggest we should be lawless.

The system you are defending is not how it was intended to be used, it is a legal loophole that should be closed to prevent fuckery or changed to allow us all to cast our votes for both sides to pick the best candidates irrespective of party.

There is no point in having registries at all if they're just going to discard their primary altogether(to force Biden) and then vote in ours to fuck with our fairly and freely cast votes and run interference.
