About them and their mission:
"About Us
AFP Action is committed to electing candidates who will drive policy change and facilitate the building of broad policy coalitions that remove barriers to opportunity and help people improve their lives. The organization has a strong, permanent grassroots presence, including highly motivated activists who volunteer during the election season by making telephone calls and knocking on doors in support of policy champions.
During the 2022 election cycle, AFP Action supported candidates nationwide with more than 2 million telephone calls, 5.5 million door knocks, and more than 69 million pieces of mail. AFP Action has unmatched direct voter outreach capability that is supported by a world-class data operation.
2022 was a record-breaking year for AFP Action – and we are just getting started. There is too much at stake, which is why we are redoubling our focus and will be taking our strategy to the next level in 2023 and beyond.
Our Mission
In 2022, AFP Action engaged in a record-breaking effort to connect with and mobilize millions of voters all across the country.
One thing we heard time and again was their disappointment with Washington and the toxic situation that our broken politics has produced. It’s clear that we are in a downward spiral, and that both parties are reinforcing the bad behavior of the other.
Our country deserves better, and we can help. So here is what we learned from 2022 and what we plan to do about it.
First – The only way to elect better leaders is to field better candidates. To make this happen, we need to get involved in elections earlier and in more primaries. That is what we will do going forward.
Second – The loudest voices in both parties set the tone for the election. In 2024, this will be the presidential candidate. The only way to move our country forward is to turn the page on the past. The American people have are ready to move on, and we are going to help them do it.
This will be a challenging task, but that won’t distract us. We are prepared to invest the resources that will empower millions of citizen activists and voters to turn the page and help the American people write a new chapter for the country we all care so much about."

"Can I vote in a primary if I am an undeclared voter?
Yes. An undeclared voter may vote in a state primary or a presidential primary. You will be required to choose either a Democratic or Republican ballot when you go to vote. The last day a registered voter can change their party affiliation before the 2024 Presidential Primary is October 6, 2023. The last day a registered voter can change their party affiliation before the 2024 State Primary is June 4, 2024. Supervisors are required to meet on that day at least between 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. to accept party changes."

If I am understanding correctly only Republican and Undeclared can vote in the Republican primary. If you are a registered Democrat, you can not. They had until October 6th of last year to change affiliation for the primary.
Yes, I'm sorry. I thought it was about New Hampshire not Iowa.
Yes, I'm sorry. I thought it was about New Hampshire not Iowa. My head is in New Hampshire now.
Democrats would have to have done this by Oct 6th last year in NH. It's the Undeclared Voters that will make a difference.
