Journalist Uncovers "Shadowy Network" Of NGOs Facilitating US Border Invasion

Journalist James O'Keefe uncovered a "shadowy network of secretive nonprofits" (some of which are funded by taxpayers) that are facilitating the invasion of illegals on the southern border.

O'Keefe said "Alita's Angels" is a "brand-new nonprofit with no tax records on file" that operates inside an old Bank Building in the Arizona border town of Nogales.

We just followed the trail of the migrant vans right to the source, visiting the Arizona border town of Nogales, where we encountered some rude and suspicious "Alita's Angels" NGO (@alitasangels) workers who once again called the police on us.

A volunteer with the American Red Cross, who wouldn't give us his name, tried to prevent us from filming outside a migrant facility and kept sticking his hand over our cameras. Then, when we questioned a volunteer with the NGO, she said "I am your father" and stormed off.

Nogales Police officers showed up and questioned us after Alitas and Red Cross workers falsely accused us of using racial slurs and inhibiting their movement. We tried to get the officer's first name but he refused to give it. When we FOIAed the bodycam footage, we were told Nogales police don't use them.

After Alitas, the migrants are crammed into busses like cattle to a processing facility an hour away in Tucson.

Former deputy FM charged in Polish cash-for-visas probe

Piotr Wawrzyk is allegedly a key figure in a corruption scheme that reportedly facilitated tens of thousands of illegal entries to the country

Former Polish deputy foreign minister, Piotr Wawrzyk, has been arrested by the country’s anti-corruption bureau and charged with abusing his power to facilitate the issuance of visas and residency permits to foreign nationals while in office.

The arrest was conducted by the Lublin branch of the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) on Wednesday as part of a larger investigation into an alleged cash-for-visas scheme, which became a major political scandal in Poland last year.

Wawrzyk is currently one of nine suspects in the probe, the agency said in a statement. The evidence against him is related to his activities from February 2022 to May 2023, it said.

While the ex-official’s full name was withheld from the formal report, he confirmed his arrest to Polish media. He reportedly refused to cooperate with investigators and was released on bail after being charged and questioned.

In a statement released through his attorney, the 56-year-old said he refused to give explanations to officials because he was stressed by the situation. He referred the press to his previous public remarks on the matter.

Last September, after the visa scandal broke and he was relieved from his post, Wawrzyk reportedly required medical treatment in the hospital. Media outlets claimed he had attempted to take his own life.

Wawrzyk was described by the media as a central figure in the alleged graft, being responsible for consular services provided by the Polish Foreign Ministry. In September, Polish prosecutors charged seven people with related crimes, but none of them were government officials.

French manufacturers have reduced the manufacturing times for some of the weapons systems they supply to Ukraine by half or more, as France increasingly switches away from its previous policy of dipping into its own military stocks to support the war effort against Russia’s invasion, France’s defense minister said in an interview published Thursday.

“The logic of ceding materiel taken from the armies’ stocks is reaching its end,” the minister, Sébastien Lecornu, said in the interview with Le Parisien. “From now on, the solution is to directly connect French defense industries with the Ukrainian army.”

He cited the Caesar self-propelled 155 mm howitzer, made in France by Nexter, as an example of how French defense contractors are adopting a war footing. Caesars are among an array of Western-supplied artillery systems that have given Ukrainian gun crews an edge, especially when paired with high-precision munitions, against Russian artillery batteries using older Soviet-designed systems.

Russia on Death of Gonzalo Lira: “Kiev Is Allowed to Torture and Kill Americans, and Everyone Keeps Their Mouth Shut”

The Kiev regime has been given free rein to do whatever it wants by the West and “is even allowed to torture and kill Americans,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov charged, referring to the death of US YouTuber Gonzalo Lira in Ukrainian Prison. Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova charged the United States with “consigning an inconvenient journalist to execution.”

“Kiev has unbridled freedom, and this permissiveness is manifested in everything it does. This free rein only leads to disaster. And this disaster has already reached the minds of the current Ukrainian regime, and they are leading their entire country there,” the Russian Foreign Minister said at an annual news conference devoted to reviewing Moscow’s foreign policy in 2023.

Referring to the death of American journalist and blogger Gonzalo Lira in Ukrainian prison, Lavrov said the Kiev regime “is even allowed to torture and kill Americans. And everyone keeps their mouths shut. (The Ukrainians) are allowed to do anything. Look at the fuss they make when their citizens are arrested. Here, not a word, not even a whisper. Draw your own conclusions,” Lavrov said.

Speaking to the media on Jan. 15, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova charged that Gonzalo Lira’s death “vividly revealed the face of the collective West.”

Illinois is the latest state to consider moving to all mail-in voting for elections, as 23 other states have some form of it, despite concerns raised regarding lost and undeliverable mail-in ballots.

An Illinois state legislature committee discussed a bill last week that would allow counties to choose all mail-in voting for elections, focusing on expanding voter access. However, an election integrity watchdog has warned of issues with the system, such as missing ballots.

All mail-in voting elections are where all registered voters are sent ballots in the mail, without requesting them. This is different from absentee voting, where voters request a mail-in ballot to vote.

During a meeting of the House Ethics and Elections Committee on Wednesday, a bill was discussed that would allow counties to conduct elections through mail-in voting. The legislation, House Bill 4198, was proposed by Illinois State Rep. Carol Ammons (D), who sits on the committee.

Ammons’ husband, Champaign County Clerk Aaron Ammons, testified during the meeting, endorsing his wife’s bill.

“Hopefully, the adoption of HB4198 will put Illinois in the top tier of states that provide the best voter access,” Aaron Ammons said, after listing several examples of how Illinois has expanded voter access.

“My experience as a voter and as a county clerk tells me there is no greater voter access than voting from the comforts of your home,” he added. If the legislation is adopted, then Illinois would become the 24th state to allow for all mail-in voting for elections.

The states that have all mail-in voting for all elections are California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington, according to an analysis by the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).

Nebraska and North Dakota allow counties to opt into conducting elections by mail. Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming permit certain small elections to be conducted via mail.

Mexico said it was closely following the ICC case presented last week in which South Africa accused Israel of carrying out genocide in Gaza.

Mexico and Chile expressed "growing worry" on Thursday over escalating violence in the Palestinian territory of Gaza after several months of war between Israel and Hamas in a referral to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over possible crimes.

Since the early October surprise attack by Hamas terrorists that killed over 1,000 Israelis, wide-spread destruction in the densely-packed Gaza strip has led to increasing international alarm and scrutiny over the death of thousands of civilians, especially children.

In a statement, Mexico's foreign ministry argued that the ICC is the proper forum to establish potential criminal responsibility, "whether committed by agents of the occupying power or the occupied power."

Lavrov: ‘Holocaust Doesn’t Give Israel Impunity’

Russia has repeatedly called on the two sides to agree to a ceasefire while urging Israel not to forget the laws of war.

After the Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7, Israel launched a massive and ruthless military campaign in Gaza that has slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent civilians. Images and videos circulating on various social media platforms documenting the devastation in Gaza have made many Americans increasingly sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinians and against providing future arms to Israel.

In response, Tel Aviv has acquired a program to help manage its online reputation. “Israel has responded to its “clear loss” to Hamas on the digital battlefield by making its first-ever purchase of a technological system capable of conducting mass online influence campaigns, according to numerous sources with knowledge of the matter,” Haaretz reports. “The system can, among other things, automatically create content tailored to specific audiences.”

The outlet reports that Israel acquired multiple programs, including “a system for mapping online audiences; a system capable of automatically creating websites, among other things, as well as content tailored to specific audiences; a system for monitoring social media and messaging platforms, and others.”

Fearing the mass influence system also reflects negatively on the user, Tel Aviv purchased the systems via intermediaries. Israel is looking to reduce anti-semitic, anti-Zionist, graphic, and violent content circulating online. Haaretz reports that the first campaign is underway and “is not in Hebrew and does not focus on the war at all.”

Conflating antisemitic content with posts that are graphic, violent, or anti-Zionist is problematic. Graphic and violent content can include evidence of Israel war crimes committed in Gaza. Removing the posts could lead to the erasure of the only potential for victims to seek justice.

Recently, it appears pro-Israeli censorship has increased on X, formerly known as Twitter. Several accounts that are notorious for highlighting Israeli war crimes in Gaza were suspended for a short time on X. After the issue was brought to the attention of the platform’s owner, Elon Musk, the accounts of journalists Ken Klippensten, Alan MacLeod, and Steven Monacelli, along with others, were reinstated.

A story published by the Israeli outlet Ynet revealed that the Israeli military killed Israeli civilians on October 7 and was given an “unsafe link” warning. Activists and Palestinians have reported having their videos and photos claiming to show Israeli war crimes deleted.

Ontario records 48 deaths, including six children, from 'invasive' strep throat
