An article by New York Post legendary gossip columnist Cindy Adams reports Barack and Michelle Obama are angling to replace Joe Biden with former First Lady Michelle as the Democrats’ 2024 presidential nominee.

Obama world was rocked when Donald Trump short-circuited the Obama revolution to remake America when he defeated would-be Obama successor Hillary Clinton in 2016 and has taken merciless revenge on President Trump ever since. Israeli army gassed my son ‘like Auschwitz,’ mother of slain Israeli soldier says

An outraged Israeli mom has sparked an uproar after accusing the Israeli army of deliberately gassing her son to death while he was being held in a Gaza tunnel. Now she says the Israeli military had her son’s gravestone removed after her critical message went viral.

His killing follows a pattern of Israeli military attacks on Israeli captives in Gaza, raising questions about the existence of a friendly fire policy to prevent prisoner swaps.

The mother of a now-dead Israeli soldier captured by Hamas militants on October 7 says it was the Israeli military, not Palestinian resistance fighters, who killed her son. In a recently-published post on Facebook, Israeli mother Maayan Sherman wrote that her son Ron was “indeed murdered – not by Hamas,” but in circumstances more akin to “Auschwitz and the showers.”

The killing of her son, she wrote, was caused “not from accidental gunfire, nor from crossfire, but from premeditated murder – bombing with poison gas.”

“Ron was kidnapped because of the criminal negligence of all the senior officials of the army and this damned government, who gave an order to eliminate him in order to settle a score with some terrorist from Jabalya,” she added.

Sherman’s body, alongside those of fellow captured soldiers Nik Beizer and Elia Toledano, was recovered from a tunnel in Gaza in December. Mainstream media outlets previously blamed Palestinians for the killing of at least one of the captives, whose death was falsely described in one publication as a “Hamas execution.”

House passes temporary spending bill to avert gov't shutdown and it now heads to Biden's desk

The measure faces a less-certain future in the House because the most conservative wing of GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson's conference is opposed.

The Democratic-led Senate on Thursday passed a temporary spending measure to avoid a partial government shutdown and the Republican-led House prompted passed the bill afterward.

The continuing resolution received votes from Democrats and Republicans in both chambers.

In the House, 207 Democrats and 107 Republicans voted in favor of the bill. The legislation passed 314-108. There were 18 Republicans who voted against the bill in the Senate. It passed 77-18.

The short-term spending bill averts a shutdown this weekend and keeps the government open until early March. The bill includes two appropriations deadlines of March 1 and 8.

The most conservative wing of GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson's conference was opposed to the bill. However, Johnson decided to put the bill on the floor for a vote where enough Democrats voted in favor of the bill to overcome opposition from GOP members.

“I have a job to do,” Johnson told CNN on Wednesday night when asked whether he was concerned about being ousted over passage of a continuing resolution with Democrat and Republican votes.

How alleged paedophile Alan Jones has been protected by the old media for decades

Former radio host Alan Jones has been accused by The Sydney Morning Herald (SMH), in an article written by journalist Kate McClymont titled “‘He’d go the grope’: Alan Jones accused of indecently assaulting young men”, of sexual assaulting 4 males which includes staff at radio station 2gb and other men.

But what is really exposes, which I am sure is unintended, is the decades long media cover-up that has protected Alan Jones.

Some examples of the cover-up are that Alan Jones’ grooming of schoolboys when he was a teacher at The Kings School in the 1970’s was published in a book in 2006 called Jonestown. It was written by well-known investigative journalist Chris Masters and there was a major scandal at the ABC when Alan Jones made legal threats.

The SMH reported on the issue in 2006:

The ABC has decided not to publish an unauthorised biography of Alan Jones because Jones’s lawyers have threatened to sue, the book’s author, Chris Masters, says.

ABC Enterprises released a statement, announcing it would not proceed with publication of the book Jonestown, which was conceived following a Four Corners episode in May 2002 by Masters.

ABC Enterprises director Robyn Watts said the decision not to proceed was made on purely commercial grounds.” ABC Enterprises has a clear responsibility to deliver a commercial return to the ABC,” Ms Watts said.

“To proceed with publication will almost certainly result in a commercial loss, which would be irresponsible.” But Masters said the real reason was that Jones had threatened to sue over the book.

“The commercial reasons are legal reasons,” Masters told AAP. “Essentially the way it was explained to me is that Jones’s lawyers sent a letter. “(The ABC) say … the letter we got from Jones’s lawyers in the last week or so made it clear that he was going to sue and it would cost money.”
