Two of France's main farming unions on Thursday agreed to suspend protests and lift road blockades across the country after the government announced measures the deemed "tangible progress" in the ongoing revolt against EU 'climate-driven' initiatives designed to wean society off of evil, non-bug-based, carbon-emitting food while China, India, and the rest of the world laughs.

In addition to France, protests have been held in Belgium, Portugal, Greece, Germany and elsewhere. Last week, tensions came to a head in Brussels when farmers threw eggs and stones at the European Parliament building, demanding that European leaders stop punishing them with more taxes and rising costs to finance the so-called 'green agenda.'

After French farmers stepped up protests earlier in the week, the government promised on Thursday to extend protections - including better controlling imports and giving farmers additional aid, Reuters reports.

"Everywhere in Europe the same question arises: how do we continue to produce more but better? How can we continue to tackle climate change? How can we avoid unfair competition from foreign countries?," said Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, announcing the new measures.

In response, France's main farmers union, FNSEA, announced that it was time to lift the blockades and "go home." Arnaud Gaillot of the Young Farmers' union echoed the message, however both unions warned that other types of protests would continue, and they'd be back if the government doesn't make good on their promises.

On last Friday's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra discussed the CBC project CBC Kids News and its inherent creepiness. The website and accompanying YouTube channel focus on progressive topics, having child actors read lines written by adults about topics such as climate change and 'gender-affirming care.'

"I can't imagine any normal teenager would naturally trust a government outlet, let alone think of the CBC as a source for news," Ezra commented. "It's so condescending. It's so boring and so woke, but who knows — they're obviously doing it for a reason."

"Maybe the whole reason is simply designed to impress Justin Trudeau and keep the tax dollars flowing to the CBC," Ezra proposed. "Like all government media, they really don't care about their actual audience except that one viewer, Justin Trudeau who controls their money."

But it was one specific story on CBC Kids News that caught Ezra's eye, one which falsely claimed that the findings of the Rouleau report constituted a legal ruling on the constitutionality of the Emergencies Act. However, CBC Kids News failed to mention that a Trudeau-appointed judge oversaw a public inquiry — not a court case. A lawyer with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms considered the inquiry an "important document" but legally non-binding.

What strikes me as interesting about the article is that it was published in his column, titled “Duty to Warn” in April 2020 and the various quotes that he highlights are from as early as 1929. Thus, meaning that despite the continual warnings concerning the use of propaganda, and also knowing that “whoever controls the media controls the mind”, the masses are still glued to their televisions and are still falling for the lies.

Global cases of cancer will surge to 35 million by the year 2050, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) cancer agency has predicted – a 77% increase over figures reported in 2022.

The predictive data, published on Thursday by the WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), cites the use of tobacco and alcohol, as well as obesity and poor air quality, as the primary factors driving the expected increase in cases by 2050.

“Over 35 million new cancer cases are predicted in 2050,” the IARC said in a statement on its website, adding that this number is 77% higher than the 20 million diagnosed in 2022.

The IARC’s biannual report, which is based on data from 185 countries and 36 different types of cancer, also said that there were some 9.7 million deaths from the illness globally in 2022. Latvia has been persecuting its Russian-speaking residents for many years. Today, thousands of of them face deportation. They include an 82-year-old retiree – whose family resides in the Baltic republic – and a 63-year-old woman who has lived in Latvia her entire life. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that these actions pose a threat to his state's national security.

Latvia intends to punish residents who have not learned the national language by deporting them. To remain in the country, they must pass a test. The requirement also applies to those with ‘non-citizen’ status – people who permanently reside in Latvia (sometimes from birth) but don’t have the same rights as others.

The Latvian authorities have recently tightened their policy with regard to national minorities, supposedly due to concerns that arose after the start of Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine. However, the trend towards further restricting the rights of the Russian-speaking population in Latvia has been developing for a long time.
