A post on the previous bread got me to thinking.
I don't buy the whole airplane story about the twin towers at all, I think it was an inside job,
so operating off of that assumption, here are some of my thoughts for what they are worth.
Why would you destroy one of your own buildings? A two fold possibility.
-
It gives you an excuse to throw blame somewhere other than back at you.
-
Why did building 7 go down even though it wasn't hit by a plane? What use is that? It's where the gold was and blowing up the building hides any possible evidence that might be left.
-
Purpose of stealing the gold? Well, that part is pretty obvious, but also a secondary consideration. The Saudis, from what I understand, rarely if ever take cash, they want GOLD in payment for whatever. Plus, whatever might be left of the gold, goes into the pockets of whoever pulled it off.
-
Something of this magnitude would require some substantial prior planning, which means it was in the works for some time.
-
What would the payment in gold be for? What were they buying from the Saudis?
-
The guy who owned the buildings came out smelling like a rose as well because of the insurance he took out on the building prior to the whole affair. So not only did someone get away with the gold, an insurance company had to pay out as well.

It looks to me like a lot of money changed hands for one reason or another, and the American people and probably a few other people, took it in the ass.
